Summary
-
1.
The copolymerization reaction of methyl methacrylate with tert-butyl vinyl ether was investigated, and some of their copolymers were prepared.
-
2.
It was established that the content of tert-butyl vinyl ether residues in the copolymer with methyl methacrylate increases with increase in the concentration of the vinyl ether in the original monomer mix.
-
3.
tert-Butyl vinyl ether does not polymerize in presence of benzoyl peroxide or of 2,2' -azobis [2-methylpropionitrile].
