Abstract

Comparison of data on seven compounds containing the group tetramethylditin shows a variation in the coupling constants depending on the lone pair electrons of the substituents.

Sieben Verbindungen, die die Gruppe Tetramethyldizinn enthalten, zeigen im Zusammenhang mit Vergleichswerten das unterschiedliche Verhalten von Kopplungskonstanten in Abhängigkeit von freien Elektronenpaaren der Substituenten.

Reaction pathways towards 1,1,2,2-tetratbutyldistannanes

1,2-Dichlorotetra^tbutyldistannane (1) is synthesized as a byproduct in the reaction of ^tbutylmagnesium chloride with tin tetrachloride or by the reaction of di^tbutyltindihydride with di^tbutyltin dichloride in the presence of amines. Reaction of 1 with lithium aluminumhydride yielded the dihydrido derivative 2. The treatment of 2 with bromoform gave the dibromo distannane 3 nearly quantitatively. Reactions of 2 with one equivalent of LDA or KH yielded unsymmetrically substituted alkali metal distannanes of the type M^tBu₂SnSn(H)^tBu₂ (4, M=Li; 5, M=K). Reaction of either two equivalents of KH with 2, or one equivalent of KH with 5 gave the dipotassium distannide 6. The molecular structure of the dichloro derivative 1 was determined by X-ray diffraction.
Preparation electrochimique de sels de tetraalkyldietain

Dichlorotetraalkylditin (R₂ClSn)₂ (R = Me, Et and Bu) was prepared by electrolysis of an acetonitrile solution of dialkyltin dichloride on a mercury cathode. The ditin compounds were precipitated by acetate ions and were isolated in good yields. Their polarograms, which show a very characteristic peak near −0.75 V/SCE, are explained by an $E$ C $E$ mechanism.
Les dichlorotétraalkyldiétains (R₂ClSn)₂ avec R = Me, Et et Bu ont été préparés par électrolyse sur cathode de mercure d'une solution de chlorure de dialkylétain dans l'acétonitrile. Ces composés distanniques sont précipités par addition d'acétate de sodium et ont été isolés avec de bons rendements. Leurs polarogrammes qui présentent un pic très caractéristique vers −0.75 V/ECS ont été expliqués par un mécanisme $E$ C $E$ .
