Zusammenfassung Die “Trompetenzellen” im Mark des Cauloids verschiedener Laminaria-Arten, die wahrscheinlich der Stoffleitung dienen, sind lebende Zellen mit normalen Plasmaorganellen. Ihre Querwände bestehen aus einem einzigen primären Tüpfelfeld mit etwa 20 000–30 000 Plasmodesmen; sie erreichen eine Dichte von 50–60/μm2. Callose bedeckt die Stege zwischen den Poren an der Oberfläche der Querwand und kleidet wahrscheinlich auch die Poren aus. Die Arbeit wurde gefördert durch die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. Summary The trumpet cells in the medulla of the Laminaria-cauloid are living cells with normal organelles and a persistent nucleus. The cross wall consists of a single primary pith field with 20,000–30,000 plasmodesmata of normal structure and dimension. They have a density of 50–60/μm2. There are indications that the rim of the pores and the surface of the cross wall (beside the pores) are covered with a callose layer.
