Description / Table of Contents:
Abstract:
Notes:
Abstract A digital computer system for on-line monitoring of seriously-ill patients is described. This system is in continuous operation and is used routinely to determine and report twenty-six variables including heart, pulse and respiration rates, systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure, venous pressure, body temperatures, cardiac output and urine flow. Both analog and digital displays of real time and summary data are provided. Comprehensive monitoring has proven of great value in the care of the critically-ill patients and for clinical research.
