Description: Bio-fuel produced from renewable sources is considered the most viable alternatives for the replacement of mineral diesel fuel in compression ignition engines. There are several options for biomass derived fuels production involving chemical, biological and thermochemical processes. One of the best options is Fischer Tropsch Synthesis, which has an extensive history of gasoline and diesel production from coal and natural gas. FTS fuel could be one of the best solutions to the fuel emission due to its high quality. FTS experiments were carried out in 16 different operation conditions. Mini structured vertical downdraft fixed bed reactor was used for the FTS. Instead of Biomass gasification, a simulated N 2 -rich syngas cylinder of, 33% H 2 and 50% N 2 was used. FT fuels products were analyzed in GCMS to find the hydrocarbon distributions of FT fuel. Calorific value and lubricity of liquid FT product were measured and compared with commercial diesel f...

Description: Fish egg poisoning is a public health hazard although usually the incident rate, mortality and fish species involved are not well reported (Halstead,1970). Four species of Cyprinidae in Iran have been suggested as ichthyotoxic by Coad (1979) .namely Abramis brama. Cyprinus carpio .Schizothorax zarudnyi and Tinca tinca and it was thought that other species may be discovered subsequently.Najafpour and Coad (2002) reported ichthyotoxin in the cyprinid Barbus luteus from Iran ,and the study records another species. The Cyprinid fish Capoeta capoeta known as Siah mahi or gara balig in Iran.

Description: This study was conducted in the Chitgar Lake in 2014.Chitgar Lake, 130 hectares in area is an artificial lake located in the north-west of Tehran City, Iran. For the first time the seasonal sampling of fish was done by three fishing methods gill net, cast net and beach seine, and a random sample of 3160 fish was collected. Some morphometric and meristic factors of samples were studied in the laboratory, and the distribution, abundance and species composition were determined. According to the results obtained, 95% of fish population was comprised of aggressive species such as; Hemiculter leucisculus, Pseudoras boraparva and Alburnus hohenackeri. There are 14 fish species in the lake, 9 species of which belong to the Cyprinidae family, 2 species including Capoeta buhsei and Capoeta capoeta are the only native species. Chitgar Lake, also known as the Lake of Martyrs of the Persian Gulf, the largest artificial lake in the middle-east was constructed in 2012 in the north- west of Tehran.

Description: During a survey of Gahar Lake and Gahar River from 2008 to 2009 some specimen obtained by seasonal sampling in 6 stations, 3 stations in the lake and 3 stations in the river. Three different methods were used for sampling, gill net and hook in the lake and electrofishing in the river. Due to the results 3 species from 2 families in Gahar Lake and 12 species form 3 families in Gahar River were identified. Most of the fish species belonged to Cyprinidae and Salmonidae families. Distribution and abundance of species were recognized. Oncorhynchus mykiss in Gahar Lake and Capoeta damascina in Gahar River had the most abundance.

Description: This study was conducted to determine heavy metals (Cu, Mo, As, Hg) in fish species of Aras River (East Azerbaijan) at four stations (From Julfa to 25km after Nourdos border) during four seasons from 2015 to 2016. Thirty eight specimens of fish were collected by using of electrofishing as the main method for sampling. The amount of heavy metals were measured by using an atomic spectrophotometer in the muscle tissue of specimens.Bioaccumulation factor were also calculated for each species. The amount of bioaccumulation factor for molybdenum was the highest and the arsenic had the lowest amount. The highest concentration of copper was in Barbus lacerta with a mean of 13.6 ± 11.3μg /g dry weight and for the molybdenum, Alburnoides bipunctatus had the highest mean concentration (11.7±4.9) μg / g dry weight. The average concentration of mercury (13.1 ± 1.5 μg / kg dry weight) was highest in Alburnus alburnus. Regarding the arsenic elements, as it was analyzed in a small number of specimens, the highest concentrations were recorded in Alburnoides bipunctatus. According to ANOVA, there were a significant difference between mean concentration of copper in different species(p〈0.05) and the Duncan test has distinguished Alburnus alburnus from other species.

Description: The swim bladder status of false trevally (Lactarius Lactarius) was studied from November 2007 to October 2008 in coastal waters of the Oman Sea. A number of 702 swim bladders of false trevally specimens were collected randomly from catch composition of gillnets and bottom trawler. False trevally has an unusual swim bladder, as the first and the second spines of its anal fin are joined that creates a single bone, which is called anchorage bone, and passes from the middle of the swim bladder and 2 lobes of the gonad and connects to the 10th vertebra of the spinal column. Another ending of this bone is wide and reaches anal fin base. This bone is like an anchorage for swim bladder of false trevally and it functions as a center of gravity of the fish in anal fin base. It firms the exterior part of the fish body, so the fish swims through rough waters easily.

Description: Creating a database of affiliated laboratories of the institute is organized with the aim of integrating information related to laboratories of research centers and their subsidiaries. The main objective of conducting this project in this stage is to upgrade it, establish and running one software system based on up-to-date technology of networking. For this purpose organizing the centers database, a periodic report on various aspects can be done which help for implementing appropriate monitoring and management .Among the sectors that are designed and upgraded for this system include : Portal, bank of information, advanced possibilities for inputting data, searching and reporting on laboratory. The advantages of this precise and updated reports can be collected easily from the general information of research institutes and centers, reports of the number of lab experts with different educational levels in affiliated centers, awareness of numbers and status of the chemical materials in the laboratories of each center, and the significant and important point is about economizing equipment, chemical materials and on time calibration.
