Notes: In this work, bioleaching of iron from a kaolin sample was carried out using two differentstrains of Aspergillus niger, and the effects of strain type, pulp density, and addition time of clay onthe iron removal were investigated using a full factorial design. It is concluded that strain type hasthe most significant effect on the iron removal. Also, the highest removal extent was 42.8% thatwas achieved by using the strain isolated from pistachio shell at the pulp density of 20 g/l, when theclay was added at the beginning of the experiments. The results showed that for the experiments in which the clay was added in the first day ofcultivation, the average organic acids concentration (citric acid: 5.6 g/l, and oxalic acid: 4.54 g/l)were higher in comparison to those experiments in which the clay was added in the third day (citricacid: 5.25 g/l, and oxalic acid: 2.87)

Notes: In this paper, a central composite design was applied to optimize the bioleaching of ironfrom a kaolin sample containing 2.2% iron impurity by Aspergillus niger isolated from pistachioshell. The strains were inoculated into 500 ml flasks containing 100 ml media consisted of (g/l):sucrose 120; NH4NO3 0.45; KH2PO4 0.1; MgSO4.7H2O 0.3; FeSO4.7H2O 10-4; ZnSO4.7H2O 25×10-5. The effects of initial pH, sugar and spore concentrations on iron removal extent were investigated. The two-level factorial design points were pH 2 and 5, sugar conc. 70 g/l and 130 g/l, spore conc.9×107 and 35×107 spores/l. Also, the increase of dissolved iron, oxalic acid concentration, changesin pH value, and sugar concentration were registered. Consequently, after 10 days, the ironconcentration of the best condition reached to 179.3 ppm that means 38.8% of the total iron contentis removed. Furthermore, the data analysis showed that all the factors are significant, and the ironremoval extent increases by increasing the initial pH to 4.4, sucrose content to 93.8 g/l, and sporeconcentration to 305.5 spores/μl, but further increase in each factor value has negative effect on theresponse

Description: A sharp decline in natural population of Caspian brown trout lead to implementing of restocking program in Iran. Along the stock recovery program, the artificial production of this species has been attracted too much attention in recent years. The objective of the study is to assess the effects of protein and energy levels of diet on fish performance, growth efficiency of Caspian brown trout in order to develop a proper diet for production of this species. Six experimental diets were formulated by replacing casein as a pure protein source with fat as an energy source in the diets according to a 3×2 factorial design. The diet was assigned to 18 tanks with 50 fish each, with three replicated for each diet. The experiment was conducted for 8-weeks with Caspian brown trout with an initial body weight of around 7 g. Caspian brown trout demonstrated a better FCR and a larger SGR at lower protein levels (45 and 50%) in comparison to high protein level (55%; P〈0.05). Protein efficiency ratio improved by a decrease in protein content of the diet (P〈0.05), but energy content of diets does not affect any growth related parameter such as FCR, SGR and PER. There was also no interaction between protein and energy levels in the growth related parameters, suggesting the effect of protein on the growth parameters in Caspian brown trout did not depend on energy levels of diet. In conclusion diet containing 50% protein can support the maximum growth. High dietary energy level of the diet dose in cooperate in protein sparing effect.

Description: In this project, The nutritional effects of Sargassum illicifolium Chabahar bay-Oman Sea, on growth and survival rates of whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) were studied. The seaweed collected from 6 coastal area, rinsed, dried, powdered and measured the nutritional values in laboratory for surveying statistically. According to the high nutritional value of Tis coastal seaweed, this variate seaweed powder, replaced with protein resources (fish meal and Soy and Wheat) of whiteleg shrimp feed which was formulated by Havorash feed factory of Boshehr in four treatments (A: as control without any replacement) B: with 5%, C: 10 % and D: 15% seaweed replacement, each with three replicates in order to obtain isonitrogenus 33% CP., and Isocaloric (13% fat and 15% carbohydrate) feed. The weighed milled ingredients were carefully mixed using a laboratory food mixer. The mixtures were primed with 30% hot water to yield a suitable pulp. Wet diets were made into 2 mm pellet size and dried at 40 °C in a drying cabinet and maintained in standard condition which was used according to daily need shrimp, calculated by each 10 days biometry. Water stability and absorbtion capacity of the pellets in sea water were measured and compared statistically. Juvenile shrimps (Initial body weghit =3 g) brought from Jask hatchery, acclimazed for one week in chabahar hatchery condition and feeding daily 3-5% body weight. Abiotical parameters and weight and lenght biometries were measured two days and 10 days, repectively. After 45 days and final biometry, FCR, CF, SGR, caracas analysis, muscle colourimetery with HPLC were done, tasted with pp Plot for determining the parametric data and statistically differences using one – way ANOVA, Duncan test of SPSS software. The Tis coastal seaweed with 9.8% CP, 2% lipid and 23% carbohydrate had higher nutritional value compared to the other gathered seaweed. Also amino acid and fatty acid profiles, vitamins and minerals were measured in all seaweed samples each, with three replications. As result, The water stability of D feed treatment in seawater (98%) and C (97%) had statistical differences with A and B (95% stability) (P〈0.05). Water absorption capacity of feeds after one hour immersion in seawater showed significance difference between D (110%) and three others, C(100%), B(85% and control(80%) (P〈0.05). Shrimp growth data, after the end of experiment revealed that seaweed feed treatments had no any differences with control group significantly. However, the absolute growth rate datas of D treatment were higher than others and the lower weight and lenght were measured in control group shrimp. FCR had difference between seaweed treatments and control statistically. There are no any differences between caracas lipid treatments (P〉0.05) but Cholestrol content of, showed differences between all, significantly (P〈0.05) which was the highest (121.68±12.12) in D and the lowest in A (147.92±11.02). Feed treatment D and C performed colour changes pink partial orang and pink in shrimp muscle with no any difference compared to white and none colour in shrimp were fed B and A feed treatments . It seems this colour changing can be playing a major role in market accebtability.

Description: Due to approaching the method of marine algae (G. corticata) mariculture in the Chabahar waters (located at NE of Oman Sea), a series of feasibility studies were carried out to identify the suitable areas for growth of this algae. In this regard, different regions of shallow waters, intertidal zones, and also natural habitats of them were selected for either collecting sample or as culture regions. During the growth periods in autumn, winter and spring (the culture and plantation were not carried out during summer time synchoronized with monsoon season). Some acceptable results were achieved that indicated the meaningful growth rate of plants in the selected stations. According to the obtained results, at the end of culture period the weight growth was 3 times more and the mean length growth of C. coricata talls was from 68 to 134mm at the end of culture period. On the other hand, this statistical analysis didn't show any significant differences in different seasons from point of weight growth. It should be mentioned that some physical and chemical factors of sea water were measured consist of salinity, temperature, DO., pH, nitrate, phosphate and turbidity.

Description: Responsible aquaculture is a new concept in Iran but in some countries there are good historical performances. In fact this concept is as the spacial challenge for developing countries in order to improvement of aquaculturist livelihood. In bangladesh, near to 60% of the people, which the most of are villagers, live under the poor line . Developing the NGOs and their activities to reach the responsible aquaculture objectives were so effective, since this activity has been knew as profitable acuaculture and many international workshops, symposiums and conferences have been held in this regard all the world . In this project, a complex of parameters affected on preparing manegement of warmwater fish farms have been studied with using previous studies and experiments of different countries and executive guidelines of four modules prepared including: - Guidline of preparing of warmwater fish ponds - Guidline of water enrichment and using fertilization in warmwater fish ponds - Guidline of using aeration in warmwater fish ponds - Guidline of stocking method in warmwater fish ponds

Description: A 60-days feeding trail was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary digestible energy levels (DE) on kutum, Rutilus frisii kutum. Four is nitrogenous (35% protein) diets with digestible energy levels of 2500, 2600, 2700 and 2800kcal kg-1 was tested. Two hundred and forty advanced fry (2±0.4g) were randomly distributed in 12 fiberglass tanks of 400L capacity. Nutritional responses in terms of WG, FCR and PER as well as survival rate (SR) significantly improved (p〈0.05) with increase in DE level from 2500 to 2800 kcal kg-1 diet, but no difference between 2600 and 2700kcal kg-1 diet was found. Body crude protein and fat significant were increased (p〈0.05) when the dietary energy was raised up from 2500 to 2600kcal DE kg-1 diet, but a further increase on energy did not improve the fish crude protein and fat content.
