Description / Table of Contents:
Summary A method of spectrophotometric determination of copper is described. A few ml of a solution (pH=2.5) which contains 1.8–15.0μg of copper is placed in a separatory funnel together with 0,6 ml of an alcoholic reagent solution (30 mg/25 ml) and 1 g of solid sodium sulfite. The volume is made up to 10 ml with deionised water and extracted with the same volume of butylacetate. The measurement of the extract is then made at 455 nm.
