Colliex Using the liquid metal contact method for in-situ electron transport measurements in TEM, this paper revisits the question of whether carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are diffusive or ballistic conductors. It challenges previous conclusions of many ex-situ measurements that CNTs support ballistic transport and quantum conductance. It also suggests three reasons that possibly led to false positive results in the previous measurements. [Phys. Rev. B 90, 195431] Published Thu Nov 20, 2014
