Notes: The constrained variational calculus proposed in previous papers [Y. Zheng, Y. Li, and D. Chen, Sci. Sinica A 24, 138 (1986); G. Tu, Kexue Tangbao 29, 1227 (1984)] is generalized to the supersymmetric case. Utilizing this method to some super AKNS system, which has soliton solutions and conserved quantities, their equations of motion with the Hamiltonian structure can be written as a 4×4 matrix. This is the supersymmetric symplectic matrix and hn are Hamiltonians of the system. The conserved quantities worked out in recent literature are just the first few terms of our analytic expression.

Notes: Abstract A simple chemical model of the idiotypic network of immune systems, namely the AB model, has been developed by De Boeret al. The complexity of the system, such as the steady states, periodic oscillations and chaotic motions, has been examined by the authors mentioned above. In the present paper, the periodic motions and chaotic behaviours exhibited by the system are intuitively described. To clarify in which parameter domains concerned the system exhibits periodic oscillations and in which parameter domains the system demonstrates chaotic behaviours the Lyapounov exponent is explored. To characterize the strangeness of the attractors, the fractal dimension problem is worked out.

Description: The role of green supplier evaluation and selection (GSES) in supply chain management is increasingly appreciated due to the intensification of competition, raising public consciousness, and environmental issues. To improve GSES, a large number of approaches have been proposed in the past decades. However, few attempts have been made to systematically review and classify the literature in this field. The objective of this study is to afford a comprehensive review of the studies which aim to develop models and methods in helping enterprises to assess and select the right green suppliers. To achieve this goal, a total of 193 journal articles extracted from the Scopus database over the period of 2009 to 2020 were chosen and reviewed. These publications were classified into ten categories based on their adopted GSES models and analyzed concerning the evaluation criteria, criteria weighting methods, and performance evaluation methods. Moreover, a bibliometric analysis was conducted according to the frequency of supplier selection methods, citation number, publication year, journal, country, and application area. This study supports practitioners, managers, and researchers in effectively recognizing and applying the GSES models to enhance organizational competitiveness and provides an insight into its state of the art.

Description: Artificial bee colony (ABC) is one of the newest additions to the class of swarm intelligence. ABC algorithm has been shown to be competitive with some other population-based algorithms. However, there is still an insufficiency that ABC is good at exploration but poor at exploitation. To make a proper balance between these two conflictive factors, this paper proposed a novel ABC variant with a time-varying strategy where the ratio between the number of employed bees and the number of onlooker bees varies with time. The linear and nonlinear time-varying strategies can be incorporated into the basic ABC algorithm, yielding ABC-LTVS and ABC-NTVS algorithms, respectively. The effects of the added parameters in the two new ABC algorithms are also studied through solving some representative benchmark functions. The proposed ABC algorithm is a simple and easy modification to the structure of the basic ABC algorithm. Moreover, the proposed approach is general and can be incorporated in other ABC variants. A set of 21 benchmark functions in 30 and 50 dimensions are utilized in the experimental studies. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed time-varying strategy.

Description: The objective of image denoising is to retain useful details while removing as much noise as possible to recover an original image from its noisy version. This paper proposes a novel normal inverse Gaussian (NIG) model-based method that uses a Bayesian estimator to carry out image denoising in the nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) domain. In the proposed method, the NIG model is first used to describe the distributions of the image transform coefficients of each subband in the NSCT domain. Then, the corresponding threshold function is derived from the model using Bayesian maximum a posteriori probability estimation theory. Finally, optimal linear interpolation thresholding algorithm (OLI-Shrink) is employed to guarantee a gentler thresholding effect. The results of comparative experiments conducted indicate that the denoising performance of our proposed method in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio is superior to that of several state-of-the-art methods, including BLS-GSM, K-SVD, BivShrink, and BM3D. Further, the proposed method achieves structural similarity (SSIM) index values that are comparable to those of the block-matching 3D transformation (BM3D) method.

Description: After a faulted transmission line is removed, power flow on it will be transferred to other lines in the network. If those lines are heavily loaded beforehand, the transferred flow may cause the nonfault overload and the incorrect operation of far-ranging backup relays, which are considered as the key factors leading to cascading trips. In this paper, a novel algorithm for power flow transferring identification based on wide area measurement system (WAMS) is proposed, through which the possible incorrect tripping of backup relays will be blocked in time. A new concept of Transferred Flow Characteristic Ratio (TFCR) is presented and is applied to the identification criteria. Mathematical derivation of TFCR is carried out in detail by utilization of power system short circuit fault modeling. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm to prevent the malfunction of backup relays are demonstrated by a large number of simulations.

Description: The recently proposed q-rung picture fuzzy set (q-RPFSs) can describe complex fuzzy and uncertain information effectively. The Hamy mean (HM) operator gets good performance in the process of information aggregation due to its ability to capturing the interrelationships among aggregated values. In this study, we extend HM to q-rung picture fuzzy environment, propose novel q-rung picture fuzzy aggregation operators, and demonstrate their application to multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM). First of all, on the basis of Dombi t-norm and t-conorm (DTT), we propose novel operational rules of q-rung picture fuzzy numbers (q-RPFNs). Second, we propose some new aggregation operators of q-RPFNs based on the newly-developed operations, i.e., the q-rung picture fuzzy Dombi Hamy mean (q-RPFDHM) operator, the q-rung picture fuzzy Dombi weighted Hamy mean (q-RPFDWHM) operator, the q-rung picture fuzzy Dombi dual Hamy mean (q-RPFDDHM) operator, and the q-rung picture fuzzy Dombi weighted dual Hamy mean (q-RPFDWDHM) operator. Properties of these operators are also discussed. Third, a new q-rung picture fuzzy MAGDM method is proposed with the help of the proposed operators. Finally, a best project selection example is provided to demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of the new method. The superiorities of the proposed method are illustrated through comparative analysis.
