    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Zur Anwendung in der Katalyse und bei Adsorptinsprozessen werden Zeolithe auf der Oberfläche sprüh-getrockneter Kaolin-Mikrokugeln eingesetzt. Verschiedene thermische Effekte werden zur schnellen Charakterisierung des Zeolith-Typs und -Gehalts genutzt. Der exotherme DTA-peak beim Gitterzusammenbruch liefert Informationen über Zeolith-Typ und thermische Stabilität der Probe. Eine sehr einfache Schnellmethode zur Messung der Immersionswärmen erlaubt Schlussfolgerungen über Typ und Sorptionseigenschaften des zeolithischen Anteils des Tons. Die genaueste Methode zur Bewertung des Zeolithgehalts war eine standardisierte thermogravimetrische Desorptions- und Readsorptions-Methode mit Wasser oder organiscen Verbindungen.
    Abstract: Резюме На поверхности микро сферического каолин а, высушенного распыле нием, синтезированы цеолиты, используемы е в каталитических и адсорбционных проце ссах. Различные термические эффекты были использованы дл я быстрой характеристики типа цеолита и его содержания. ДТА измер ения показали, что экзотермический пик разрушения решетки д ает информацию о типе цео лита и термоустойчив ости образна. Измерения те плоты погружения, проведенные очень пр остым и быстрым метод ом, позволили сделать за ключение о типе и сорбционных свойств ах цеолитной части ми нерала. Наиболее точным мето дом оценки содержания цеолита б ыл стандартный метод десорбции и реадсорбции воды или органических соединений, проведен ный с помощью термове сов.
    Notes: Abstract For application in catalysis and adsorption processes, zeolites are synthesized on the surface of spray-dried kaolin microspheres. Various thermal effects are used for the rapid characterization of the zeolite type and content. From DTA measurements, the exothermic lattice break-down peak gives information on the zeolite type and the thermal stability of the sample. Measurements of the heats of immersion by a very simple and quick method allow conclusions about the type and the sorption properties of the zeolite part of the clay. The most precise method to estimate the zeolite content was a standardized technique of desorption and readsorption of water or organic compounds by means of a thermobalance.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Образование игольчатых кристаллитов V6O13 при низкой концентрации V на катализаторах, покрытых V2O5-анатазом, объясняет низкую селективность к образованию фталевого ангидрида при окислении о-ксилола. Плоскость (010) окиси ванадия, наиболее активная для селективного окисления о-ксилола, не доступна, и контакт этой плоскости с плоскостью анатаза усиляет превращение анатаз-рутил и встраивание и блокирование ионов V+4.
    Notes: Abstract The formation of needle shaped crystallites of V6O13 at low V concentrations on V2O5-anatase coated catalysts explains the low selectivity for phthalic anhydride during o-xylene oxidation. The (010) plane of V-oxide, most active for selective oxidation of o-xylene, is not accessible and the contact of this plane with the anatase faces promotes the anatase-rutile transformation and the incorporation and blocking of V4+ ions.

    Description / Table of Contents: Assuming inelastic scattering of quasi-free charge carriers of solids by adsorbed gas molecules, a simple model for heterogeneous catalytic reactions is developed which allows to describe mathematically the increase of catalytic activation energy on increasing deviation of the energy of the impact partners from the resonance condition of energy transfer. The model is proved for simple decomposition reactions.
    Notes: Unter Annahme einer unelastischen Streuung von quasi-freien Festkörperladungsträgern an adsorbierten Gasmolekeln bei heterogen katalysierten Reaktionen wird ein einfaches Modell entwickelt, welches erlaubt, den Anstieg der katalytischen Aktivierungsenergie bei zunehmender Abweichung der Energie der Stoßpartner vom Resonanzpunkt der Energieübertragung mathematisch zu beschreiben. An einfachen Zerfallsreaktionen wird die Gültigkeit dieses Modells sowie der daraus entwickelten Gleichung gezeigt.

    Description / Table of Contents: CO Oxidation and Oxidation of CO Hexane Mixtures on Supported Mixed Oxide CatalystsIn the catalytic oxidation of industrial waste gases and exhaust gases of combustion engines mixed oxide catalysts of the systems Cu—Mn, Cu—Cr, and Cu—V with different promotors were investigated. The catalysts were tested by means of oxidation of CO and CO hexane mixtures under reduced O2 partial pressure and compared with industrial noble metal catalysts. Comments on a technological application of an oxide catalyst in a two stroke engine are given and conceptions on the catalytic oxidation of exhaust gases of two stroke engines are discussed.
    Notes: Zur katalytischen Nachverbrennung von industriellen und Verbrennungsmotorabgasen werden oxidische Katalysatoren der Systeme Cu—Mn-, Cu—Cr- und Cu—V-Sauerstoff mit unterschiedlichen Promotoren mit Hilfe der Oxydationsreaktionen von CO und CO-Hexan-Gemischen unter vermindertem O2-Partialdruck untersucht und mit kommerziellen Edelmetallkontakten verglichen. Die technische Einsatzfähigkeit der untersuchten Katalysatoren wurde an einem Testmotor überprüft. Vorstellungen zur katalytischen Nachverbrennung der Abgase von Zweitaktottomotoren werden diskutiert.
