    Notes: Abstract The results of a workshop on “New Fundamentals of Scale Growth” that took place in July 1988 at the Schwäbisches Bildungszentrum Irsee, FRG, sponsored by Stiftung Volkswagenwerk and Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), are presented. Twenty-three leading corrosion scientists from Europe, North America, and Australia participated. Discussion of six topics in the form of key questions and proposed answers is presented.

Twenty-eight leading corrosion scientists from Europe, North America, and Australia participated. The discussion of nine subject areas in the form of key questions and proposed answers is presented.
