    Notes: Abstract A previously developed microkinetic model of NH3 synthesis is extended to include recent experimental results on the kinetics of N2-dissociation obtained from molecular beam studies and on the NHx-K-repulsion obtained from TPD studies. Further, we show that agreement between the experimental and calculated TPD spectrum for N2 can be made perfect by including a small coverage dependency in the activation energy for N2 -dissociation. Finally we show that there is a close relation between the TPD spectrum for N2 used as input for microkinetic models and the calculated rate of NH3 synthesis calculated from the model.
