Notes:
Abstract Monoethanolamine (EA) applied to rye and barley as a foliar spray increased the biomass and grain yield formation of tillers (up to 14%) and promoted the growth of the basal stem parts (up to 17%). The increased production of tillers and the stimulated growth of basal internodes were associated with a higher nitrogen level in these plant parts. A sufficient nitrogen supply was an essential requirement for increasing the yield of tillers by EA.
