Description: Author(s): K. Ziegler, E. Kogan, E. Majerníková, and S. Shpyrko We study the thermal distribution of phonons in a honeycomb lattice. Due to the two electronic bands there are two out-of-plane phonon modes with respect to the two sublattices. One of these modes undergoes an Ising transition by spontaneously breaking the sublattice symmetry. We calculate the criti... [Phys. Rev. B 84, 073407] Published Mon Aug 22, 2011

Notes: Summary GC separation of natural products is upset by nonvolatile compounds. The problems arise from thermal and catalytic cracking in the injector, from ghost peaks and base line drift. A treatment is shown for obtaining an improvement in citrus analysis by using simple gelpermeation chromatography for pre-separation. A second method describes the separation of the high relative molecular mass compounds with a pre-column GC-equipment. A simple conversion is demonstrated for this modification of GC apparatus.
