Cold Pressure Welding and BrazingYou have to draw a distinction between lap and butt welding resp. Brazing. Lap brazing is very rarely applied while butt brazing is very rearely applied while butt brazing will always be used at places where it is impossible to weld. The necessary tools and the qualities of the connections achieved are discussed. The author shows finally taht this method had been used in the antiquity and was redeveloped in teh USA some years ago.
Notes:
Man unterscheidet eine überlappt-und eine Stumpfschweißung und -lötung. Die Überlapptlötung wird kaum angewandt, die Stumpflötung dort, wo eine direkte Schweißung nicht möglich ist. Es werden die erforderlichen Werkzeuge und die erzielten Güteeigenschaften der Verbindungen besprochen. Schließlich wird darauf hingewiesen, daß das Verfahren schon im Altertum bekannt und ausgeführt worden ist, jedoch vor einigen Jahren in USA neu entdeckt wurde.
