Flow and relaxation in condensed matter, mainly in polymer systems are realized by molecular dislocations. The loosening of the structure at the second order transition point causes the place exchange processes in flow direction to be more easy. The few possibilities for rearrangement at the beginning of the softening allow noticeable deformations only if the exchange processes are cooperative. These processes are described by systems of differential equations, which can be solved by means of an analogous computer.

Fließen und Relaxation in kondensierten Phasen, z. B. in erweichenden polymeren Systemen, beruhen auf molekularen Umlagerungen. Die am Glaspunkt beginnende Auflockerung der Struktur erleichtert die Platzwechselvorgänge in Fließrichtung. Die bei Beginnen der Erweichung bestehenden wenigen molekularen Umlagerungsmöglichkeiten erlauben nur dann merkliche Deformationen, wenn die Platzwechsel miteinander gekoppelt sind. Diese Prozesse werden durch Systeme gekoppelter linearer Differentialgleichungen beschrieben, die mit einem Hybridrechner gelöst und graphisch ausgewertet werden.
