    Description: Two-octave imaging spectrometer utilizes light of two harmonically related wavelengths diffracted to harmonically related orders at same angles, followed by separation via dichroic beam splitter before final imaging. Conceptual design of spectrometer calls for minimum number of optical elements to achieve coverage of required visible and near-infrared wavelengths in instrument of reduced size, weight, and cost.

    Description: Focusing/collimating-and-scanning apparatus adapts spectro-photometer to spectral transmittance of optical filter as function of position on filter. Mounted in sample chamber of spectrophotometer. All-reflective microscope objectives focus quasi-collimated light onto desired spot and recollimate diverging light emerging from filter. Measurements made in infrared, visible, or ultraviolet.
