The Liquid-Phase Method of Peptide Synthesis; Strategy and Experimental BasisThe „liquid-phase“ method has decisive advantages compared with the methods used to date in peptide synthesis. The methodology and experimental details of this new method are described in the present article. Furthermore the various strategies which can be used for individual synthetic problems are surveyed and illustrated with examples.

Die „Liquid-Phase-Methode“ hat entscheidende Vorteile bei der Peptidsynthese gegenüber bisherigen Verfahren gebracht. Die methodischen und experimentellen Grundlagen dieses Verfahrens werden beschrieben. Dabei werden ein Überblick über die Variationsmöglichkeiten hinsichtlich des jeweiligen Syntheseproblems gegeben und die bisherigen Erfahrungen anhand von Beispielen aufgezeigt.
