    Notes: New Pyrazol Derivatives. IV. Preparation and Cyclization of Some Acceptor-Substituted N-(Pyrazol-3-yl)-thioureas.3-Aminopyrazol-4-carboxylic acid derivatives (1, 2) were transformed by reaction with different isothiocyanates R2NCS to N-(pyrazol-3-yl)-N. -substituted thioureas (5,6).Ethyl 3-amino-1-benzylpyrazol-4-carboxylate reacts with CSCl2 to form ethyl 1-benzyl-3-isothiocyanatopyrazol-4-carboxylate (3) which yields with amines the corresponding N-(pyrazol-3-yl)-N. -substituted thioureas (5). As a byproduct in the reaction with CSCl2 N,N. -di-(pyrazol-3-yl)-thiourea (4) is formed. With hydrazine or phenylhydrazine N-(pyrazol-3-yl)-thiosemicarbazides (7a,b) are obtained.The thioureas (5,6) can be cyclized in basic solution to 4,5,6,7-tetrahydropyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-on-6-thiones (8) which on alkylation form 6-alkylthio-4,5-dihydropyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-ones (9). Methyl-N-(pyrazol-3-yl)-N.-benzoylisothiourea (10) reacts with ethylamine to form N-benzoyl-N. -ethyl-N‥-(pyrazol-3-yl)-guanidine derivative (11) which on treatment with NaH in dimethylformamide yields 6-benzoylamino-5-ethyl-4,5-dihydropyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-one (12).By treatment with sulfuric acid the N-(pyrazol-3-yl)-thiourea derivatives (5,6) form new 6-amino substituted pyrazolo[3,4-d][1,3]thiazin-4-ones (13).

    Notes: Application of Magnetic Microparticles in Chemical Engineering Technology In chemical engineering technology microparticles are used in a diversity of fields. Particles with essential chemical characteristics and additional magnetic properties open new opportunities for developing novel processes in many areas. Separation processes such as adsorption and chromatography as well as reactions with catalysts are especially interesting applications. A high specific surface is advantageous for most of these unit operations. Because of the small size of the particles used their handling is not trivial. The magnetically stabilized fluidized bed (MSFB) is a promising example of a magnetically assisted process. This technology permits design of new processes whose favorable operations conditions lie outside the range of conventional operation. Common to all applications is that the magnetic properties of the particles provide a new free and adjustable parameter for managing the process.

    Notes: Zur Dosierung gefährlicher, aggressiver und verschleißend wirkender Medien werden immer häufiger stopfbuchslose Dosierpumpen in Faltenbalg- und Membranausführung angewendet. Hierbei haben die Pumpen mit mechanischem Verdrängerantrieb den Vorzug einfacher Bedienung und Wartung, jedoch sind Förderströme, Förderdrücke und Temperaturen begrenzt. Die komplizierteren und teureren Ausführungen mit hydraulischem Verdrängerantrieb gestatten auch höhere Drücke; der Verdränger wird günstiger beansprucht, und das Hubvolumen ist stets genau definiert. Auf Grund von Untersuchungsergebnissen, Auslegungs- und Anwendungserfahrungen werden Anwendungsbereich, Saugvermögen, Strahlenresistenz, Förderverhalten, Dosiergenauigkeit, Lebensdauer und Dichtheit der stopfbuchslosen Dosierpumpen erörtert. Für die Planung dient ein Überblick zur Anwendung stopfbuchsloser Dosierpumpen.

    Notes: Es werden Oberflächenverbindungen, vor allem -oxide, an der Diamant-Oberfläche und saure und basische Oberflächenoxide des von Graphit abgeleiteten Kohlenstoffs beschrieben. Die Oberfläche des SiO2 trägt schwach saure OH-Gruppen, an denen chemische Reaktionen durchgeführt werden können. Die TiO2-Oberfläche hat hingegen durch saure OH-Gruppen und austauschfähige OH-Ionen amphoteren Charakter. Die OH-Belegung der Oberfläche spielt bei Photooxidationsreaktionen an TiO2 eine Rolle.
