Very few incidental records and descriptions are available from former years. However, since this situation has been completely changed: with the opening of this fascinating country to research, scientists and explorers from all over the world hastened to Nepal in a continuous stream of mountaineering, geological, biological and other expeditions.\nWith regard to the study of the Nepalese Tortricoidea outstanding material of these insects has been and is still being brought together by a series of collecting expeditions by the Munich Museum, under the auspices of the \'Torschungsunternehmen Nepal Himalaya", in the years 1962, 1964, 1967 and 1974.
