Notes: There have been few recent additions to the group of mercury-nitrogen compounds. Current developments in this field are mainly concerned with the elucidation of the structures of these compounds. The structures of coordination-polymeric Hg-N compounds may be considered from the point of view of their relationship with silicates. The bond parameters of the Hg-N grouping are compared with the parameters of bonds between mercury and elements adjacent to nitrogen in the periodic system.
