    Description / Table of Contents: On the compounds MIISnF6 with MII = Mn, Fe, Zn, Hg, Pb or Co, Ni, Cu, Cd.Hitherto unknown MnSnF6 (a = 5.416, c = 14.136 Å), FeSnF6 (a = 5.270, c = 14.063 Å), ZnSnF6 (a = 5.216, c = 13.801 Å), CoSnF6 (a = 5.211, c = 13.933 Å), NiSnF6 (a = 5.152, c = 13.763 Å), CuSnF6 (a = 5.13, c = 13.82 Å), all hex. isotypic with LiSbF6; HgSnF6 (a = 5.321, c = 15.027 Å) hex. isotypic with VF3; and CdSnF6 (a = 5.37, c = 14.47 Å) hex. isotypic with VF3 or LiSbF6 are prepared. Their volume chemistry is discussed.

    Description / Table of Contents: On Li2RhF6New obtained Li2RhF6 (by high pressure fluorination) is a lemon yellow powder, very sensitive against moisture and probably thermodynamically instable under normal conditions. Li2RhF6 is isotypic with Na2SnF6, C2h5—P21/c, with a = 4.637; b = 4.634; c = 10,185 Å β = 117,1°, Z = 2. Calculated and observed powderdata (GUINIER-SIMON) have a good agreement.
    Notes: Durch Druckfluorierung [400 atm. F2] neu dargestellt wurde Li2RhF6, ein zitronengelbes Pulver, das gegen Feuchtigkeit bzw. Wasser äußerst empfindlich und vermutlich unter Normalbedingungen thermodynamisch instabil ist. Li2RhF6 ist isotyp mit Na2SnF6, C2h5—P21/c mit a = 4,637 Å b = 4,634 Å; c = 10,185 Å β = 117,1°, Z = 2. Berechnete und beobachtete Pulverdaten nach GUINIER-SIMON stimmen gut überein.

LiSbF6-type. The strukture of CuRhF6 (light brown) is yet unknown.

The Madelung-Part of lattice energy, MAPLE, is calculated and discussed.
