    Notes: Die Lokalisationsenergien Lr+ einer Anzahl konjugierter Polyene weisen auf ihre leichte Substituierbarkeit durch Vilsmeier-Komplexe hin. Bei Kohlenwasserstoffen mit dem System des 2-Vinyl-butadiens-(1.3) und 2-Phenyl-butadiens-(1.3) gelingt Monoformylierung zu Imoniumsalzen. Isobutylen wird fünffach zu einem gelben Trikation substituiert, beim 2-Phenyl-propen konnten die Salze der Mono- und Triformylierung isoliert werden.

    Notes: Bis-trichlorsilyl-dichlormethan und Tris-trichlorsilyl-chlormethan, zwei der möglichen Zwischenverbindungen bei der Reaktion von Silicium-Kupfer-Gemischen mit Tetrachlorkohlenstoff, wurden mit jenen ebenfalls umgesetzt. Die isolierten Reaktionsprodukte bestätigten den seinerzeit angenommenen, schrittweisen Ersatz der an Kohlenstoff gebundenen Chloratome durch Trichlorsilylgruppen. Daneben lief stets eine Dechlorierung ab, die höheren Temperaturen außer-dem von einer Pyrolyse begleitet war. Verbindungen, die diesen Nebenreaktionen entstammen, wurden isoliert.

    Description / Table of Contents: The Crystal Structure of KPdMIVF7 (MIV = Zr, Hf)Blue single crystals of KPdZrF7 are obtained by heating the binary fluorides in sealed Pt-tubes under dry argon (solid state reaction, T ≍ 720°C, t ≍ 14 d). The compound crystallizes orthorhombically in the space group Pnna-D2h6 (Nr. 52); lattice parameters are a = 1 132.3(5) pm, b = 797.5(2) pm, c = 639.8(1) pm; Z = 4 (Four cycle diffractometer data, AED2). According to [F4PdF2/1ZrF5] distortet [PdF6]-octaedra are connected with pentagonal-bipyramidal [ZrF7]-polyhedra via two bridging F-, resulting in [PdZrF11]-groups. These [PdZrF11]-groups built up a threedimensional-network with K+ in its spacings. KPdHfF7 crystallizes isotypically (a = 1 136.1(3) pm, b = 796.4(2) pm und c = 638.8(1) pm; four cycle diffractometer data, AED2).
    Notes: Durch Tempern der binären Fluoride im verschweißten Pt-Rohr unter Schutzgas (Ar, Festkörperreaktion, T ≍ 720°C, t ≍ 14d) erhält man blaue Einkristalle von KPdZrF7 [eigener Strukturtyp, orthorhombisch, Pnna-D2h6 (Nr. 52); a = 1 132,3(5) pm, b = 797,5(2) pm, c = 639,8(1) pm; Z = 4; Vierkreisdiffraktometerdaten AED2]. Pd2+ ist verzerrt oktaedrisch von 6 F- umgeben, wohingegen Zr4+ pentagonalbipyramidal von 7 F- koordiniert wird. Beide Koordinationspolyeder sind gemäß [F4PdF2/1ZrF5] kantenverknüpft und bilden mit weiteren solcher [PdZrF11]-Einheiten durch Eckenverknüpfung ein dreidimensionales Raumnetz, in dessen Lücken K+ eingelagert ist. Nach Vierkreisdiffraktometerdaten (AED2) kristallisiert KPdHfF7 isotyp (a = 1 136,1(3) pm, b = 796,4(2) pm und c = 638,8(1) pm).

    Description / Table of Contents: Titanium Tetrafluoride - a Surprising Simple Column StructureFor the first time single crystals of TiF4 have been obtained by solvothermal decomposition of (O2)2Ti7F30 in anhydrous HF. The colourless, transparent needles crystallize orthorhombic in spacegroup Pnma-D2h16 (No. 62) with a = 2 281.1, b = 384.8, c = 956.8 pm, Z = 12. The new type of structure is dominated by isolated columns of corner-linked TiF6-octahedra.
    Notes: Durch Solvothermalsynthese in wasserfreier HF gelang es endlich erstmals, TiF4 aus (O2)2Ti7F30 in Form solcher Einkristalle darzustellen, die eine Strukturbestimmung ermöglichten. Die farblosen, transparenten Nadeln kristallisieren in der Raumgruppe Pnma-D2h16 (Nr. 62) mit a = 2 281,1, b = 384,8, c = 956,8 pm, Z = 12. TiF4 bildet einen eigenen Strukturtyp, dessen charakteristisches Merkmal von einander isolierte, aus TiF6-Oktaedern aufgebaute Säulen sind (Kolumnarstruktur).

    Description / Table of Contents: Determination of the Catalytic Activity of N-Benzoylthiourea Derivatives in the Iodine-Azide Reaction in a System of Competitive ReactionsIn the determination of catalytic activity of sulfur containing compounds using the azide/iodine reaction the catalyst is oxidised to an inactive form in a side reaction with iodine. Using a system of competitive reactions (reaction between ascorbic acid and iodine), in which the concentration of iodine is always kept very low during the measurement it is possible to overcome this difficulty. In such a system sulfide is catalytically active during a considerable part of the measurement period. With this method it is possible to recognize differences in the structure - action behaviour of the investigated catalysts (N-Benzoylthioureas) and to correlate the catalytic activity with the constitution. For comparison the qualitative azide/iodine test and a method to check photographic sensitivity was chosen.
    Notes: Die Bestimmung der Katalytischen Aktivität schwefelhaltiger Verbindungen mit Hilfe der Jod-Azid-Reaktion wird durch die in einer Nebenreaktion erfolgende Oxydation der Katalysatoren durch überschüssiges Jod stark gestört. Durch Einbeziehung einer Konkurrenzreaktion zwischen Ascorbinsäure und Jod kann die freie Jodkonzentration im Reaktionsgemisch sehr niedrig gehalten werden. so daß eine Desaktivierung der untersuchten Katalysatoren (N-Benzoylthioharnstoffderivate) kaum erfolgt. Dadurch ist es möglich, Unterschiede im Struktur/Wirkungsverhalten der einzelnen Verbindungen zu erkennen und die katalytische Aktivität mit der Konstitution zu korrelieren. Zum Vergleich werden der qualitative Jod-Azid-Test und ein sensitometrisches Prüfverfahren herangezogen.

    Description / Table of Contents: Synthesis and Crystal Structure of the Nonaselenide [Sr(15-crown-5)2]Se9The title compound was prepared by the reaction of excess selenium with strontium diselenide in DMF in the presence of 15-crown-5. [Sr(15-crown-5)2]Se9 forms black crystals, which are soluble in DMF. They were characterized by FIR spectroscopy and by an X-ray structure determination.Space group P21/n, Z = 4, 2 381 observed unique reflections, R = 0.073. Lattice dimensions at 19°C: a = 1 228.7, b = 1 893.4, c = 1 575.7 pm, β = 99.15°. The compound consists of [Sr(15-crown-5)2]2+ ions in which the strontium ion is coordinated by the oxygen atoms of the crown ether molecules in a sandwich-like fashion, and of Se92- ions with a chain structure, which has a topolocical resemblance with the bicyclic ion Se102-.
    Notes: Die Titelverbindung entsteht durch Einwirkung von überschüssigem Selen auf Strontiumdiselenid in Dimethylformamid (DMF) in Gegenwart von 15-Krone-5. [Sr(15-Krone-5)2]Se9 bildet schwarze, in DMF leicht lösliche Kristalle, die durch das FIR-Spektrum und eine röntgenographische Strukturanalyse charakterisiert werden.Raumgruppe P21/n, Z = 4, 2 381 beobachtete unabhängige Reflexe, R = 0,073. Gitterabmessungen bei 19°C: a = 1 228,7; b = 1 893,4; c = 1 575,7 pm, β = 99,15°. Die Verbindung besteht aus [Sr(15-Krone-5)2]2+-Ionen, in denen das Strontiumion sandwichartig von den O-Atomen der beiden Kronenethermoleküle umgeben ist, und kettenförmigen Se92--Ionen, die topologische Verwandtschaft zu dem bicyclischen Se102--Ion aufweisen.
