    Notes: Fünf im Phenylkern substituierte 2-Phenyl-4-carboxy-thiazole wurden hergestellt und ihre Dissoziationskonstanten in Äthanol/Wasser-Mischungen auf potentiometrischem Wege bestimmt. Als Kombination der Hammett- und Ismajlow-Gleichung wird die allgemeine Gleichung (9) vorgeschlagen. Die experimentellen Daten bestätigen deren Gültigkeit und belegen die Übertragung des Substituenteneffektes über die zwei verknüpften Ringe.

    Notes: 5.3′-Dihydroxy-6.7.4′-trimethoxy-flavon (1a) wurde auf zwei Wegen, durch alkalische Ringisomerisierung der entsprechenden 5.7.8-substituierten Verbindung und nach der Baker-Venkataraman-Umlagerung synthetisiert. Dieses war mit dem aus Eupatorium semiserratum isolierten Flavon Eupatorin identisch.

Synthesis of Flavones from eupatorium Species, IIFrom the five flavones and flavonols isolated from Eupatorium species and not synthesized hitherto the following compounds were synthesized and confirmed in their structures: eupatilin (5,7-dihydroxy-3′,4′,6-trimethoxyflavone) (2a) by the SeO2-oxidation method, eupalitin (3,4′,5-trihydroxy- 6,7-dimethoxyflavone) (4a), eupatolitin (3,3′,4′,5 tetrahydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavone) (5a). eupatoretin (3,3′-dihydroxy-4′,5,6,7-tetramethoxyflavone) (6). and eupatin (3,3′5-trihydroxy-4′,6,7-trimethoxyflavone) (7) by a modified AFO-oxidation of the corresponding chalkones.
    Notes: Von den fünf bisher noch nicht synthetisch dargestellten Flavonen und Flavonolen aus Eupatorium-Arten wurden Eupatilin (5,7 -Dihydroxy-3′,4′,6-trimethoxyflavon) (2a) nach der SeO2-Oxidations-Methode, Eupalitin (3,4′,5 -Trihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavon) (4a), Eupatolitin (3,3′,4′,5-Tetrahydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyflavon) (5a), Eupatoretin (3,3′-Dihydroxy-4′,5,6,7-tetramethoxyflavon) (6)und Eupatin (3,3′,5-Trihydroxy-4′,6,7-trimethoxyflavon) (7) aus den entsprechenden Chalkonen nach einer modifizierten AFO-Oxidations -Methode synthetisiert und in ihrer Struktur bewiesen.

Preparation, Oxidation, and Spectroscopic Investigation of 1-Substituted 5-Tetrazolyl Aryl Disulfides1-Substituted 5-tetrazolyl mesityl disulfides were synthesized which on oxidation with hydrogen peroxide gave disulfide S2, S2-dioxides (thiolsulfonates). The structure of these as well as that of the 1-substituted 5-tetrazolyl p-tolyl disulfide S2, S2-dioxides synthesized earlier was elucidated by means of their i. r. and n. m. r. spectra. The supposed structures have been established by synthesis.
    Notes: Es wurden 1-substituierte (5-Tetrazolyl)mesityldisulfide hergestellt, welche zu Disulfid-S2, S2-dioxiden (Thiosulfonate) oxidiert wurden. Deren Struktur und die der früher hergestellten 1-substituierten (5-Tetrazolyl)p-tolyldisulfid-S2, S2-dioxide wurde anhand ihrer IR- und NMR-Spektren wahrscheinlich gemacht. Die angenommenen Strukturen wurden durch Synthese bewiesen.

    Description / Table of Contents: Highly Stereoselective Total Synthesis of NonactinStarting with (S)-propylene oxide both enantiomeric methyl nonactinates 7a and 7b, and the corresponding benzyl esters 7α and 7β have been synthesized. The “diester” 14, consisting of the two enantiomeric nonactinic acids has been constructed via nucleophilic reaction of the potassium corboxylate and the ρ-toluenesulfonate using Walden inversion. In a similar way the “tetraester” 18 with alternating arrangement of the nonactinic acids was formed. Ring closure of the latter gave nonactin.
    Notes: Beginnend mit (S)-Propylenoxid werden die beiden enantiomeren Nonactinsäure-methylester 7a und 7b bzw. die entsprechenden Benzylester 7α und 7β aufgebaut. Durch nucleophile Esterbildung aus Tosylester und Kaliumcarboxylat unter Waldenscher Umkehr gelang es, den „Diester“ 14 aus zwei enantiomeren Nonactinsäuren und den „Tetraester“ 18 aus den alternierend angeordneten enantiomeren Nonactinsäuren zu synthetisieren. Ringschluß des „Tetraesters“ führte zum Nonactin.

    Description / Table of Contents: Isolierung und Strukturaufklärung eines bei der Aminomethylierungsreaktion von α-Methylstyrol entstehenden NebenproduktesDie Aminomethylierung von α-Methylstyrol (1) führt zu 1,2,3,6-Tetrahydro-4-phenylpyridin (3) als Hauptprodukt, zusammen mit einer beträchtlichen Menge eines bisher unbekannten Nebenproduktes, dessen N-Methyl-, O-Acetyl-N-methyl-, N, O-Diacetyl-, N-(4-Nitrobenzoyl)- und O-(4-Nitrobenzoyl)-Derivate (durch N → O-Acylwanderung) dargestellt wurden. Die Aromatisierung des Heteroringes lieferte 4-Phenyl-3-pyridinmethanol (8a). Gemäß den genannten Derivaten und deren IR-, 1H- und 13C-NMR-Spektren ist das Nebenprodukt 1,2,3,6-Tetrahydro-4-phenyl-3-pyridinmethanol (4a).
    Notes: Aminomethylation of α-methylstyrene (1) leads to 1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-4-phenylpyridine (3) as main product, together with a significant amount of a previously unknown by-product. The N-methyl, O-acetyl-N-methyl, N, O-diacetyl, N-(4-nitrobenzoyl), and (via N → O acyl-migration) O-(4-nitrobenzoyl) derivatives of the by-product were synthesized. By aromatization of the heteroring, 4-phenyl-3-pyridinemethanol (8a) was obtained. According to these derivatives and their IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectra, the by-product is 1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-4-phenyl-3-pyridinemethanol (4a).

    Description / Table of Contents: Reaction of 4H-1,3-Benzothiazin-4-ones with Grignard ReagentsThe reaction of 2-phenyl-4H-1,3-benzothiazin-4-ones 1 with Grignard reagents R'MgBr yields 2-phenyl-2-R′-3,4-dihydro-2H-benzothiazin-4-ones (2a-e) and 2-phenyl-4-R′4-H-benzothiazin-4-ols (3a, b). In the case of R′ = C6H5CH2 4-benzylidene-6,7-dimethoxy-2-phenyl-4H-benzothiazine (4) was isolated (besides 2e) probably formed via the unisolable intermediate 3 c. The structure of the compounds was proved by i. r. and n. m. r. methods.
    Notes: Bei der Reaktion von 2-Phenyl-4H-1,3-benzothiazin-4-onen 1 mit Grignard-Verbindungen R'MgBr bilden sich 2-Phenyl-2-R′-3,4-dihydro-2H-benzothiazin-4-one (2a-e) und 2-Phenyl-4-R′-4H-benzothiazin-4-ole (3a, b). Im Falle von R′ = C6H5CH2 entsteht neben 2e - wahrscheinlich über das nicht isolierbare Zwischenprodukt 3c - 4-Benzyliden-6,7-dimethoxy-2-phenyl-4H-benzothiazin (4). Die Strukturen der erhaltenen Verbindungen wurden IR- und NMR-spektroskopisch bewiesen.
