On the Chemistry of Transition Metal Alkyl Compounds. XI. Preparation and Properties of Lithium Alkylo Titanates(IV)Tetramethyl titanium and other titanium compounds react with organolithium compounds forming complexes which can be isolated in form of crystalline, coloured adducts in presence of mono or bidentate oxygen or nitrogen containing ligands.On account of the experimental results these compounds may be considered as ionic alkylo titanates(IV).

Titantetramethyl und andere Titantetraorganyle reagieren mit lithiumorganischen Verbindungen und mit Lithiumchlorid zu Komplexen, die in Gegenwart geeigneter ein- und zweizähniger sauerstoff- oder stickstoffhaltiger Liganden in Form kristalliner, farbiger Addukte isoliert werden können.Auf Grund der experimentellen Ergebnisse wird auf das Vorliegen ionisch gebauter Alkylotitanate(IV) geschlossen.
