Notes: Summary EXAFS and Raman spectra, obtained from mixed MBr2+NBr2 (M, N=Zn2+, Cu2+, Sr2+) in H2O are discussed. The measurements, carried out at Adone (PULS facility), for EXAFS and in our light scattering laboratory, for Raman, allow us to study both the static and the dynamic properties of these systems. In particular, strong evidence of metal-halogen ionic pairs and hydration shell formation is reported. Our results, in terms of existing structural models, are also discussed.
