Penc Spin-orbit coupled honeycomb lattice magnets offer a route to novel states of matter through the presence of significant Kitaev exchange coupling. Here, the authors explored the spin-polarized paramagnetic regime in a very general model for such magnets, showing that the magnon band topology is nontrivial throughout the phase. This finding implies the presence a thermal Hall effect and, neglecting magnon interactions, topologically protected chiral magnon edge states. They further show that the edge states are robust to the presence of interactions, decisively showing that such exotic excitations are experimentally robust quasiparticles. [Phys. Rev.
