Notes: An approximate method is presented here for estimating the hydrodynamic second-order drift forces on a pair of bottom-mounted, surface-piercing circular cylinders in water of arbitrary uniform depth. The theoretical results are based upon the large-spacing approximation. Results are presented to illustrate the influence of the various wave and structural parameters on the hydrodynamic forces on each of the cylinders.
