Description: This paper presents the first check list of macroalgae, corals and coral ports. Observations were made in mangroves, soft bottoms with or without vegetation and coral reef habitats between 1 and 30 m depth (crest, rocky plains and spur-groove). High diversity of species were found, all of them previously reg- istered in the western region of Cuba. The list included 4 species of marine angiosperms, 83 of macroalgae, 4 of hydrocorals, 52 of stony cor- als and 201 of fishes (9 Chondrichthyes and 192 Actinopterygii). Nine species of corals and 14 of fish were considered threatened by IUCN red list and some of them were rare in the park. The high abundance of juveniles and adults of snap- pers of importance to fisheries and the scarce presence of predators of big size (more than 40 cm) was a significant result. Due this, the pres- ence of the lionfish should be considered as a potential threat to local biodiversity. To achieve coral reef health conservation, we recommend the study of the ichthyofauna and its relation- ship with the condition of the substrate and the fishing activity.reef fish in the National Park “San Felipe Keys”, on the southwest shelf of Cuba. The inventory compiled information from seven years of in situ sampling (between 2006 and 2015) and from papers and fisheries re-
