1-Amino-tetrazol (3) entsteht praktisch quantitativ durch hydrolytische Spaltung von 1-Benzylidenamino-tetrazol (2), das aus Benzaldehyd-[2-äthoxymethylen-hydrazon] (1) und Natriumazid in Eisessig leicht zugänglich ist. Auf die gleiche einfache Weise wie 2 läßt sich auch, von N-Phenyl-formimidsäure-äthylester ausgehend, 1-Phenyl-tetrazol (13) darstellen.
