    Notes: Abstract In this paper we consider the problem of optimizing a piecewise-linear objective function over a non-convex domain. In particular we do not allow the solution to lie in the interior of a prespecified region R. We discuss the geometrical properties of this problems and present algorithms based on combinatorial arguments. In addition we show how we can construct quite complicated shaped sets R while maintaining the combinatorial properties.

    Description / Table of Contents: Mechanical Properties of Hastelloy alloy C-22Hastelloy alloy C-22 is an advanced alloy of the Hastelloy alloy C-series with outstanding corrosion resistance. The alloy is used in the construction of pressure vessels which are used in the temperature range of -196°C to 400°C. For this application, mechanical properties and fabrication data were documented. The testing program included as mill annealed material as well as material in conditions typically experienced during vessel fabrication. The mechanical behavior of alloy C-22 was found to be comparable to the other C-type alloys. The alloy possesses high toughness at low temperatures even in a cold worked condition and it has good weldability.
    Notes: Hastelloy alloy C-22 ist eine weiterentwickelte Legierung im Rahmen der Hastelloy-alloy-C-Reihe mit hervorragender Korrosionsbeständigkeit. Die Legierung wird für den Bau von Druckbehältern verwendet, die im Temperaturbereich zwischen -196°C und 400°C eingesetzt werden. Im Hinblick auf diese Anwendung sind mechanische Eigenschaften und Verarbeitungsdaten bestimmt worden. Das Prüfprogramm erstreckte sich sowohl auf den lösungsgeglühten Ausgangszustand als auch typische Werkstoffzustände, wie sie beim Behälterbau vorliegen.Hastelloy alloy C-22 ist in seinem mechanischen Verhalten den anderen Legierungen des C-Typs vergleichbar. Der Werkstoff besitzt eine hohe Zähigkeit bei niedrigen Temperaturen, selbst im kaltumformten Zustand. Er ist gut schweißbar.
