Complexes with the general formula [M(DMeSeO)8](ClO4)3 of the above given 4f ions are prepared. IR and RAMAN spectra indicate coordination of the DMeSeO-molecules via the oxygen atom. The coordination polyeder is probably a distorted antiprismatic structure with the point group D4. The magnetic moments correspond to those of the free 4f ions.

Durch Umsetzung von (CH3)2SeO = DMeSeO mit den Perchloraten M(ClO4)3 (M = Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb) wurden Komplexe der Zusammensetzung [M(DMeSeO)8](ClO4)3 isoliert. Aus den IR- und RAMAN-Spektren folgt Koordination der acht DMeSeO-Molekeln über die Sauerstoffatome an die 4f-Ionen. Für das Koordinationspolyeder wird eine verzerrte antiprismatische Struktur der Punktgruppe D4 wahrscheinlich gemacht. Die magnetischen Momente entsprechen denen der freien 4f-Ionen.
