    Description: En este número de la Serie Documentos presentamos a un dibujante de origen francés, radicado en la Argentina desde 1925 hasta su fallecimiento en 1958.Realizó numerosas ilustraciones de vertebrados, entre ellas, las más conocidas son las editadas en 1973 en el libro de Carlos Vigil, Aves argentinas y sudamericanas de la Editorial Atlántida.La idea de este documento surgió a raiz de un álbum artesanalmente improvisado, conteniendo láminas de peces recortadas de la revista La Chacra, que se encontraba en la biblioteca del Prof. Raúl H. Arámburu.A partir de ahí, con la valiosa colaboración de Raúl L. Carman y José Athor, recolectamos la información que documentamos, la que intenta reflejar una parte de la trayectoria del artista.

    Description: En esta serie se mencionan a todos aquellos que, a través de sus pequeños o grandes aportes, contribuyeron a la consolidación de la disciplina en nuestro país.El plan general de esta contribución consiste en la elaboración de fichas individuales que contengan una lista de trabajos de los diferentes autores, acompañadas por bibliografía de referencia y, cuando ello fuera posible, por imágenes personales y material adicional.Se tratará de guardar un orden cronológico, pero esto no es excluyente, ya que priorizaremos las sucesivas ediciones al material disponible.Este es otro camino para rescatar y revalorizar a quienes en diversos contextos históricos sentaron las bases de lo que hoy es la ictiología nacional.Considero que este es el comienzo de una obra de mayor magnitud en la que se logre describir una parte importante de la historia de las ciencias naturales de la República Argentina.

    Description: The goal of this work is to present a collection of drawings and figures depicting the species present in our country.To achieve this, our main sources of information have been the works of Ringuelet et al. (1967), Reis et al. (2003), and López et al. (2003; 2006), as well as the onlinedatabases of W. N. Eschmeyer and Fish Base.Each species has an individual factsheet with selected images, including some from anatomical research works. All the works referenced are mentioned in each factsheet.This is an open-ended publication. As such, it will require permanent updating,which will depend on the good will and collaboration of the ichthyological community.As compilers, we understand that this contribution not only provides valuable information, but also highlights the work of men and women who are part of the richhistory of our national and regional ichthyology.
