Lead(II) meso-Oxolane-3,4-diolate(2-) Monohydrate - a Polymeric Lead Alkoxide from Aqueous SolutionIn the colourless crystals of Pb(C4H6O3) · H2O (P21/c, a = 569.8(3), b = 607.6(4), c = 1856.9(9) pm, β = 89.90(4)°, V = 642.9(6) · 106 pm3, Z = 4), lead(II)- and meso-oxolane-3,4-diolate(2-) ions form a one-dimensional coordination polymer; PbII is coordinated with four bridging alkoxide O-atoms (mean distance: 234.5 pm); some 100 pm more distant two μ-O-atoms of water molecules coordinate the lead ion.
    Notes: Blei(II)- und meso-Oxolan-3,4-diolat(2-)-Ionen bauen in den farblosen Kristallen von Pb(C4H6O3) · H2O (P21/c, a = 569,8(3), b = 607,6(4), c = 1856,9(9) pm, β = 89,90(4)°, V = 642,9(6) · 106 pm3, Z = 4) ein kettenförmiges Koordinationspolymer auf, in dem PbII von vier verbrückenden Alkoxid-O-Atomen koordiniert ist (mittlerer Abstand: 234,5 pm); ungefähr 100 pm weiter entfernt koordinieren zwei ebenfalls verbrückende Wasser-O-Atome.

The crystal structures of 1-3 have been determined by X-ray diffraction.

Crystalline Iron(III) Complexes with Twofold Deprotonated Anhydroerythritol LigandsThree new crystalline ferrates(III) with diolato ligands derived from anhydroerythritol by deprotonation have been synthesized from wet alcoholic and from aqueous solution. Almost colourless, monoclinic crystals of Na2[Fe(AnEryt-H-2)2(OH)] · 0.5 NaNO3 · 3.5 H2O (1) have been prepared from ethanolic solutions. They content mononuclear bis diolato hydroxo ferrate(III) dianions. Trinuclear hexakis diolato μ3-methoxo triferrat(III) tetraanions constitute the anionic part of Na4[Fe3(AnErytH-2)6(OMe)] · 2.5 NaNO3 (2), yellow-green hexagonal crystals of which are formed from wet methanolic solutions. Yellow-green triclinic crystals of Ba2[Fe2(AnEryt-H-2)4(μ-OH)2] · 12 H2O (3) have been precipitated from aqueous solutions. In 3, the anions of 1 are dimerized to give tetrakis diolato di-μ-hydroxo diferrat(III) tetraanions.
    Notes: Drei neue kristalline Ferrate(III) mit doppelt deprotoniertem Anhydroerythrit als Diolato-Liganden wurden aus wasserhaltigem Medium hergestellt. Nahezu farblose, monokline Kristalle von Na2[Fe(AnErytH-2)2(OH)] · 0,5 NaNO3 · 3,5 H2O (1) werden aus wasserhaltigem Ethanol erhalten. Sie enthalten einkernige Bis-diolato-hydroxo-ferrat(III)-Dianionen. Dreikernige Hexakis-diolato-μ3-methoxo-triferrat(III)-Tetraanionen sind in Na4[Fe3(AnErytH-2)6(OMe)] · 2,5 NaNO3 (2) enthalten, das aus wasserhaltigem Methanol in Form hexagonaler, grüngelber Platten kristallisiert. Aus wäßrigen Diolatoferrat-Lösungen bilden sich grüngelbe, trikline Kristalle von Ba2[Fe2(AnErytH-2)4(μ-OH)2] · 12 H2O (3), in dem die Anionen von 1 in dimerer Form vorliegen, nämlich als zweikernige Tetrakis-diolato-di-μ-hydroxo-diferrat(III)-Tetraanionen.
