Notes: A mass spectrograph is described with which a study of the isotopic constitution of argon, potassium, rubidium, zinc and cadmium has been made. A calculation is carried out which indicates that the radioactivity of potassium and rubidium can best be explained by assuming that it is K40 in the case of potassium and Rb87 in the case of rubidium which is undergoing decay.

Notes: We prove the global existence of a unique classical solution of the two-dimensional Wigner-Poisson problem by a reformulation as a system of countably many Schrödinger equations coupled to a Poisson equation. The charge neutrality of the system implies the boundedness of the electrostatic potential in two dimensions, which is an important ingredient for the proof.

Description / Table of Contents: The solubility isotherms of LaCl3 · 7 H2O and of the hexahydrates of the trichlorides of Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Er and Y at 0°C in hydrochloric acid up to the equilibrium with 1 atm of hydrogen chloride have been measured. In the region up to ca. 30% HCl by weight the individual isotherms differ only slightly from one another und decrease with increasing concentration of HCl obeying ENGELS rule at lower HCl concentrations. Above 30% HCl, each of the investigated lanthanoide chlorides(1) shows an isotherm of a different form, and the solubility of the individual chlorides differs by factors up to 250.
