    Description / Table of Contents: The modern technic, first published by Fehér, Kuhlbörsch and Luhleich, is applied to the purification and handling of silances for thermochemical investigations. Si2H6, Si3H8, and n-Si4H10 are combusted in a bomb-calorimeter. The silanes burn to α-SiO2 and H2O. The heats of formation (Wb(Si2H6)g = - 35,8, Ws(Si3H8)f1 = - 54,1, and Wb(n-Si4H10)f1 = - 70, 4 Kcal/mol) are determined by the heats of combustion.Furthermore the heats of combustion of gaseous SiH4 and Si2H6 are determined by using an adiabatic calorimeter and a special combustion chamber. The combustion gives in this case only amorphous SiO2. The heat of formation of SiH4 is evaluated by using the difference of heat between the amorphous SiO2 and α-SiO2, which is given by the combustion of Si2H6 in the calorimeteric bomb and in the combustion chamber by taking into consideration the heat of vaporation of si2H6.
    Notes: Die Anwendung der von Fehér, Kuhlbörsch und Luhleich angegebenen Arbeitstechnik auf die Reindarstellung und Handhabung der Silane für thermochemische Untersuchungen wird beschrieben. Di-, Tri- und n-Tetrasilan werden zur Bestimmung ihrer Verbrennungswärmen in einem Bombenkalorimeter verbrannt. Dabei verbrennen die Silane Zuα-SiO2 und H2O. Aus den erhaltenen Verbrennungswärmen lassen sich die Bildungsenthalpien (WB(Si2H6)g = - 35,8, WB(Si3H8)f1 = - 54,1 und W B(n-si4H10)f1= - 70,4 Kcal/Mol) bestimmen.Ferner werden in einem adiabatischen Kalorimeter unter Verwendung einer speziell Konstruierten Brennkammer die Verbrennungswärmen von gasförmigem Mono- und Di-silan (Wp(Si2H4)g = - 325,2 ± 1,2 und Wp(Si2H6)g = - 568,9 ± 1,8 Kcal/Mol) bestimmt. Die verbrennung führt hier zu amorphem SiO2. Der Enthalpieunterschied zwischen dem amorphen SiO2 und α-SiO2 wird aus der Verbrennung des Disilans in der Kalorimetrischen Bombe und in der Brennkammer unter Breücksichtigung der Verdampfungswärme des Disilans ermittelt; Wb(siH4)g ergibt sich zu-11,3 kacl/Mol.
