    Description / Table of Contents: Sulphur Dioxide as Ligand and Synthon. X. The Coordination Geometry of SO2 in Bis(phosphane)-Sulphur Dioxide-Nickel(0) Complexes. Structure of Ni(PCy3)2(SO2)The SO2 coordination geometry in Ni(PR3)2(SO2) complexes with steric parameters of the coligands Θ ≫ 141° was investigated by means of IR and 31P-NMR spectroscopy. The X-ray structure of Ni(PCy3)2(SO2) is described. The hitherto discussed n2-S.O-SO2 coordination mode for this type of complexes couldn't be confirmed.
    Notes: Zur Ermittlung der SO2-Koordinationsgeometrie in Ni(PR3)2(SO2)-Komplexen deren Coliganden Kegelöffnungswinkel von Θ ≫ 141° aufweisen, wurden die IR-und 31P-NMR-Spektroskopie herangezogen. Die Einkristallröntgenstrukturanalyse von Ni(PCy3)2(SO2) wird beschrieben. Eine für diesen Komplextyp bislang diskutierte n2-S.O-Koordination des Schwefeldioxids ließ sich nicht bestätigen.

    Description / Table of Contents: On the Relative Donor-Acceptor-Properties of Monodentate Ligands. An EHT-StudyThe relative donor-acceptor properties of some important monodentate ligands are investigated by means of the extended Hückel method and a suitable graduation is determined. Charge gradations are discussed and results compared with known facts. Acceptor properties of ligands with phosphorous and sulfur atoms are described in the best manner using charge iterations at the atoms mentioned.
    Notes: Mit Hilfe der EHT-Methode werden die relativen Donor- und Akzeptor-Eigenschaften einiger wichtiger einzähniger Komplexliganden untersucht und eine entsprechende Abstufung ermittelt. Ladungsdifferenzierungen werden diskutiert und die Ergebnisse mit bekannten Erkenntnissen verglichen. Durch die Ladungsiteration an Phosphor- und Schwefelliganden lassen sich die Akzeptoreigenschaften dieser Moleküle relativ gut beschreiben.

    Description / Table of Contents: Sulfur Dioxide as Ligand and Synton. VIII. On the Influence of Coligands on the Coordination Mode of SO2 in Nickel(O) Complexes. An EHT StudyThe dependence of the sulfur dioxide coordination mode in NiL3(SO2) complexes has been investigated in terms of the nature of the coligands L = PF3, CO, CNMe, PH3 and PMe3 by means of the extended Hückel theory. For PF3, CO, CNMe the planar coordination mode should be favoured while PH3 and PMe3 compounds should contain pyramidal bonded sulfur dioxide. Charge and bond-strength gradations are discussed.
    Notes: Die Abhängigkeit der SO2-Koordinationsgeometrie in Komplexen des Typs NiL3(SO2) von der Natur der Coliganden L = PF3, CO, CNMe, PH3 und PMe3 wurde mit Hilfe der erweiterten Hückel-Theorie untersucht. Demzufolge sollte im Falle von CO, PF3 und CNMe die planare, dagegen für PH3 und PMe3 die pyramidale SO2-Koordination bevorzugt sein. Ladungs- und Bindungsstärkeabstufungen werden diskutiert.
