Article Trisomy 12 is the most frequent chromosomal abnormality detected in cultures of human pluripotent stem cells. Here the authors show that human pluripotent stem cells carrying this abnormality exhibit gene expression profiles more similar to those of germ cell tumours, and give rise to more aggressive teratomas.
