    Description / Table of Contents: Contents For fast calculation of modal components in three-phase-systems nonrecursive filtering is normally used. By application of these method on the αβ-components instead of originalRST-values the necessary amount of arithmetic calculation can be cut by one third. — During transients the calculation can be accomplished within a quader of a period with a step-by-step adjustment of the filter order, if the time of change-of-state is known. — The behaviour of Fourier- and Kalman-Algorithms with and without using the aperiodic decay in the determination of the filter is shown by the transfer-functions in frequency domaine and with two examples in time-domaine.
    Notes: Übersicht Zur schnellen digitalen Ermittlung der Modalkomponenten in Drehstromsystemen werden in der Regel nichtrekursive Filterverfahren verwendet. Durch die Anwendung dieser Verfahren auf die αβ-Komponenten läßt sich im Vergleich zu denRST-Originalgrößen der Rechnaufwand etwa um ein Drittel reduzieren. Bei Übergangsvorgängen kann die Berechnung durch schrittweise aufbauende Filter bis auf eine Viertelperiode verkürzt werden, wenn sich der Zeitpunkt der plötzlichen Zustandsänderung feststellen läßt. — Das Verhalten von Fourier- und Kalmanalgorithmen mit und ohne Berücksichtigung des aperiodischen Gliedes im Filteransatz wird durch die Übertragungsfunktionen im Frequenzbereich und anhand zweier Beispiele im Zeitbereich vorgestellt.

    Notes: Abstract DNA of unrelated persons as well as members of families that were totally or partially homozygous or completely heterozygous on the loci of the major histocompatibility class I genes has been isolated from peripheral blood lymphocytes and blot hybridized with the class I pseudogene pHLA 12.4 probe. The autoradiographic DNA patterns were discussed and compared with well-defined serological features. Positive associations with serologically typed alleles had been demonstrated for HLA-A1,11 ; -A2; -A3; -B7; -B14; -B35;-Bw41; and -Cw5.

    Notes: Abstract Tissue perfusion and mass transport in the vicinity of implant surfaces prior to integration or bonding may play a crucial role in modulating cellular activities associated with bone remodeling, in particular, at early stages of the integration process. Furthermore, fluid displacements have been postulated to transduct mechanical stress signals to bone cells via loading-dependent flow of interstitial fluid through the lacunocanalicular network of bone. Thus, an understanding and new possibilities for influencing these processes may be of great importance for implant success. An ex vivo model was developed and validated for investigation of fluid displacements in bone after endoprosthesis implantation. This model serves to explicate the effects of surgical intervention as well as mechanical loading of the implant–bone construct on load-induced fluid flow in the vicinity of the implant. Using this model, we intend to quantify perfusion and extravascular flow dynamics in the vicinity of implants and define optimal conditions for enhancing molecular transport of osteotropic agents from the implant surface to apposing bone as well as from the blood supply to the implant surface. Furthermore, the elucidation of main transport pathways may help in understanding the distribution of wear particles in bone surrounding implant, a process which has been postulated to cause osteolysis and implant loosening.

    Notes: Summary Cellular research in aging has been stimulated by the observation that human diploid cells have a limited number of cell divisions in culture. This loss of cellular proliferation (in vitro senescence) has been extensively studied by biochemical, clonal, and genetic analysis. Studies of human skin fibroblast cultures have revealed thatin vitro senescense is related toin vivo human cellular aging. Recently differentiated cells have been proposed for aging studies. These cells may provide additional information on aging since alterations ofin vitro cellular functions may be related to thein vivo behavior of specific differented cell types.

    Notes: Abstract The isochronal and isothermal recovery of the electrical resistivity after large homogeneous compression of copper and silver was measured with a low frequency eddy current method. Two relations between the recovery data and the flow stress were found: 1. For high purity copper and silver the recovery of the electrical resistivity with recrystallization is proportional to the square of the flow stress. 2. The temperature at which half of the resistivity decrease with recrystallization is reached may be related to the flow stressσ by the equation $$\sigma ^2 e^{ - a/T_R } = const$$ . The present experiments indicate that a simple relation between the quantitya and the activation energy for recrystallization cannot be given.

    Notes: Abstract A ‘one bottle’ method to determine particulate debris of titanium and zirconium in blood serum was developed. Inductively coupled plasma – optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) was used to simultaneously detect both elements at concentrations above 50 ng/mL. Pressurized digestion by means of nitric and hydrofluoric acid in PTFETM-containers in a specific time-heat-pressure protocol apparatus was applied to assure complete solvation of particles including oxides. Total decomposition of the matrix was achieved and reasonable detection limits were accomplished. The amount of remaining carbon did not cause any matrix problems during measurement.

    Notes: Summary The Dwl specificity was highly correlated with the serologically determined HLA-DR1 antigen in the Eighth International Histocompatibility Workshop 1980. By testing a large number of HLA-Dwl, DR1 defined homozygous typing cells (HTC) in a checkerboard primary mixed lymphocyte reaction, on a panel of about 30 HLA-DR1 heterozygous individuals, and in family segregation, three Dwl “subtypes” could be defined in association with certain HLA-A, -B, and -C-antigens. HTC TA, FRI, and FRA carrying the HLA haplotypes A11, B35, Cw4 or A3, B35, Cw4 in the homozygous state gave positive typing results with most HLA-DR1 positive panel members and stimulated only four other Dw1 HTCs (SRR≦35%). In contrast to this operationally “broad” specificity, Dw1-HTC-HEN (HLA-A2, B44, C-, homozygous) was non-stimulatory to all HTCs except one, but gave high responses against these, leading to the definition of a “narrow” specificity included in the “broad” one. Another such “narrow” specificity was represented by HTC FEE (HLA-A2, B27, Cw2 homozygous). Typing patterns with FEE were mostly different from those defined with other HTC. In family studies a specific typing pattern for this HTC could be shown to segregate with HLA. However, within some of these responses a contribution of the HLA haplotype in the trans position must be assumed.

Patschuliölgranulat zeigte sowohl repellierende als auch abtötende Wirkung. Die Befallsintensität an Wollstoffproben wurde dadurch stark reduziert. Steinkleekraut zeigte nur eine kurzfristig abschreckende Wirkung auf die Falter. Längerfristig führte es dahingegen eher zu verstärktem Befall an den Wollstoffproben.
    Notes: Abstract Free-choice chamber- and compulsory-tests were carried out to investigate the effect of sweet clover leaves (Melilotus officinalis [L.] Pall.) and the granulated oil extract of the patchouli-plant (Pogostemon patchouly Pellet.) on the webbing clothes mothTineola bisselliella Hum. Granular patchouli oil was found to be both, repellent and toxic. Thus the intensity of infestation on woolen fabric samples had been reduced largely. Sweet clover leaves showed only a short-term repellent effect on the adults, whereas in long-term experiments an increase in infestation was found.

    Notes: Abstract In nuclei of the inactive thyroid gland of Microtus agrestis the constitutive heterochromatin is heteropycnotic and forms large chromocenters. After specific activation of the thyroid gland with thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), or with the thyrostatic methylthiouracil (MTU), an enlargement of cells and nuclei, a high mitotic activity and a despiralization of the contitutive heterochromatin are observed. The facultative heterochromatin, on the contrary, remains condensed. The structure of the nuclei of the parathyroid gland is not altered by the treatment with TSH or MTU. The findings permit the assumption that constitutive heterochromatin has specific functions, e.g. as a nucleolus organizer, which are blocked in the heteropycnotic state and active in the isopycnotic state.
