Notizen: Summary It has been possible to produce PbS layers containing sharpp-n junctions by partly coating a glass substrate with a trivalent metal and then precipitating a PbS layer from an aqueous solution. A photo-emf up to 300 mV was observed, corresponding to the value of the energy gap of about 0.3 eV. Some properties of these cells are discussed, attention being paid in particular, to the influence of oxygen in the ambient gas.
