Notizen:
Summary The effects of varying concentrations of beryllium on the growth of kale, grass and mustard in soil and in nutrient culture are reported. One to two ppm of dissolved Be was toxic in cultures and in acid soils but not in soils containing free calcium carbonate. A soluble beryllium salt significantly increased growth of crops in a calcareous soil but was persistently toxic for an acid sandy loam.
