    Development of fibrous materials for shielding of electromagnetic radiation (2018)

    Description: To analyze the possibility of creating polyacrylonitrile fibrous materials modified with carbon nanomaterials (CNM), the effect of CNM on the process of synthesis of a copolymer of acrylonitrile (AN), methyl acrylate (MA) and 2-acrylamide-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid (AMPS) in dimethylformamide (DMF) was studied. The deterioration of the kinetic characteristics of the process and the molecular mass properties of the obtained copolymer is established. The rheological properties of solutions of poly [AN-co-MA-co-AMPS] in DMF containing CNM were investigated. The effect of CNM on the spinning capacity of AN copolymer spinning solutions, the ability of the spun fibers to plasticization stretching and thermo-orientation one, as well as the physico-mechanical properties of the obtained fibers is shown.

    Description: Smart City technologies are increasingly coming to the population daily living. Smart City technologies provide efficient city services, as a central instrument of receiving various services for residents (energy and water supply, urban infrastructure, transportation etc.). The purpose of research is the definition of methodological approaches of a settlements development modelling. Methods include collation of local and foreign experience in modeling the territorial development of urban and rural settlements. Justification Pentagon-model used for such problems solution was shown. The systems/factors of a rural settlement sustainable development are based on a systematic analysis of existing development models of urban and rural settlements, as well as the authors-developed method for estimating the agro-towns development level.     Description: The aim of the paper is to define what role can play smart city technology in the reconstruction of post-war cities for example in Syrian Arab Republic. The smart city concept offers different opportunities for different countries. The implementation of smart city technology concepts, especially in post-war cities, faces different challenges and if a given smart city solution can simply transplanted from one city situation to post-war cities. This paper will discuss some of these challenges. The immediate need for cities reconstruction in the post-war countries is to provide adequate urban infrastructure to meet the increasing pace of urbanization after war. In the process of meeting infrastructure demands, smart technology applications provide a way for such cities to achieve leapfrogging after war.
