In the experimental activities, it is important to have appropriate tools and methods of measurement to obtain accurate findings.     Description: Observation of micro-seismic events induced by intensive geothermal exploitation in a particular geothermal field, located in West Java region, Indonesia was used to detect the fracture and permeability zone. Using local monitoring seismometer network, tomographic inversions were conducted for the three-dimensional Vp, Vs, and Vp/Vs structure of the reservoir for January - December 2007, January - December 2008, and January - December 2009. First, hypocenters location was relocated using joint hypocenter determination (JHD) method in purpose to estimate best location. Then, seismic tomographic inversions were conducted using delay time tomography for dataset of every year respectively. The travel times passing through the three-dimensional velocity model were calculated using ray tracing pseudo-bending method.     Description: Reading a slide under a microscope manually is very complicated. An expert may spend 3-4 hours to read a single slide. Moreover, the intra- and inter-observer variability is known to be high. This prototype was developed to simplify the slide-reading process on Android devices in order to accelerate the reading process and generate more accurate information.The prototype allows users to annotate the boundaries of an object. Moreover, the proposed prototype has successfully reconstructed multiple object boundaries into simple closed curves from a limited amount of user input.Thecoordinates of the annotated objects are stored in a text file (*.txt) that can be usedfor further analysis.The prototype's performance with respect to time and memory usage are included.

    Description: The research was conducted on various types of antenna arrays namely Uniform Array, Binomial Array, Dolph-Chebyshev Array, and Taylor Array. This research is done in the real propagation environment in order to define precisely the number of antenna elements, the distance between the elements, the angle of the antenna arrays, the side lobe level and the n-bar array distribution. The testing process is done by using Matlab and the Non-Uniform Array Simulation Program. The results obtained for various types of antenna arrays are as follows: On Uniform Array produces Half Power Beam Width (HPBW) of 10.152° and directivity of l0 dB, on Binomial Array generates Half Power Beam Width (HPBW) of 20.245° and directivity of 7.47 dB, on Dolph-Chebyshev Arrayproduces Half Power Beam Width (HPBW) of 20.304° and directivity of 4.0185 dB, and on Taylor Arrayproduces Half Power Beam Width (HPBW) of 12.78° and directivity of 8.9 dB.

    Description: The barrier properties of a polymer film is very important for application as packaging material. Moreover, packaging materials with antimicrobial properties give advantages to prolong the shelf life of perishable foodstuff. Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a water-soluble polymer, which has good oxygen barrier properties, but this depends on the humidity, as PVA is sensitive to moisture. The purpose of this study was to assess the characterization of bio-based nanocomposite films of PVA with the addition of ZnO nanoparticles and stearic acid. Bionanocomposite films were prepared by PVA dissolving in distilled and a range of ZnO nanoparticle formulations (and/or stearic acid) was added. Response Surface Methodology data analysis showed all response models qualified as good models with adequate presision (greater than 4).     Description: SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system simulator is a Human Machine Interface-based software that is able to visualize the process of a plant. This study describes the results of the process of designing a SCADA system simulator that aims to facilitate the operator in monitoring, controlling, handling the alarm, accessing historical data and historical trend in Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) type Fast Breeder Reactor (FBR). This research used simulation to simulate NPP type FBR Kalpakkam in India. This simulator was developed using Wonderware Intouch software 10 and is equipped with main menu, plant overview, area graphics, control display, set point display, alarm system, real-time trending, historical trending and security system. This simulator can properly simulate the principle of energy flow and energy conversion process on NPP type FBR. This SCADA system simulator can be used as training media for NPP type FBR prospective operators.

    Description: Coccidiosis is an infection of the gastrointestinal tract caused by Eimeria spp, which causes morbidity, mortality, decreased body weight, and decreased production. Until now, difficulties for monitoring health status because no method for early detection has been found. Intestinal - Fatty Acid Binding Proteins (I-FABP) are intracellular proteins that play a role in the transport and metabolism of long-chain fatty acids. The FABP protein family can be used as a marker for specific tissue damage. I-FABP has never been done as a coccidiosis biomarker in poultry. This study aims to know the concentration of I-FABP in serum from chicken blood infected with various doses of Eimeria oocysts.     Description: Indragiri Hulu Regency is geographically surrounded by three regencies in Riau Province, namely Pelalawan, Kuantan Singingi and Indragiri Hilir. In accelerating the development of peri-urban areas through inter-regional interaction, research was conducted to determine the strength of urban peri-urban interaction and connectivity, to determine the fastest growing urban peri-urban and to determine the location of peri-urban boundaries. The analytical method used descriptive qualitative analysis, gravity model, interaction strength analysis, stop point and connectivity index. The results of the research were obtained the highest interaction strength, connectivity index, level of social relations, economy and accessibility found in peri-urban III (Kuantan Singingi-Indragiri Hulu).

    Description: Quadrotor or commonly referred to quadcopter or drone, has 4 kinds of movements. One of those movements is the impulse of the movement. In this study, a QBall-X4 quadcopter controller is using a backstepping control system to achieve movement that can reach the height when doing thrust. The results showed that the backstepping method can adjust the height and stabilize the roll angle, pitch and yaw, by adjusting alpha value (a stabilizer constant). The more precisely the alpha value of the system is more stable and the response to reach steady state is faster, with small errors. At setpoint 0 to 3 condition an error of 0.0216.
