    Research on environmental flow in Huai River Basin, China (2016)

    Description: The estimation methods for environmental flow were discussed in this paper. Based on the comparative analysis of calculation methods of environmental flow, a "Huaihe Method" was proposed, which consists of the hydrological estimation of the minimum environmental flow with validation by the requirment space for fish. The minimum environmental flows of the important control sections in main stream and tributaries in the Huai River basin are estimated. The recommened minimum environmental flow has been adopted in the water resources planning, which provided reference for rational allocation of environmental flow, water resources usage, and sustainable development for the local society.

    Analysis Balance Parameter of Optimal Ramp metering (2018)

    Description: Ramp metering is a motorway control method to avoid onset congestion through limiting the access of ramp inflows into the main road of the motorway. The optimization model of ramp metering is developed based upon cell transmission model (CTM). With the piecewise linear structure of CTM, the corresponding motorway traffic optimization problem can be formulated as a linear programming (LP) problem. It is known that LP problem can be solved by established solution algorithms such as SIMPLEX or interior-point methods for the global optimal solution. The commercial software (CPLEX) is adopted in this study to solve the LP problem within reasonable computational time. The concept is illustrated through a case study of the United Kingdom M25 Motorway. The optimal solution provides useful insights and guidances on how to manage motorway traffic in order to maximize the corresponding efficiency.

    Synthesis and Characterization of Magnetic Carriers Based on Immobilized Enzyme (2018)

    Description: Several new types of carriers and technologies have been implemented to improve traditional enzyme immobilization in industrial biotechnology. The magnetic immobilized enzyme is a kind of new method of enzyme immobilization developed in recent years. An external magnetic field can be used to control the motion mode and direction of immobilized enzyme, and to improve the catalytic efficiency of immobilized enzyme. In this paper, Fe 3 O 4 -CaCO 3 -PDA complex and CaCO 3 /Fe 3 O 4 composite modified by PEI were prepared. The results show that the morphology of Fe 3 O 4 -CaCO 3 -PDA complex formation is irregular, while the morphology of CaCO 3 /Fe 3 O 4 composite modified by PEI is regular and has a porous structure.

    Effects of La 2 O 3 -B 2 O 3 -ZnO additions on the low temperature sintering and microwave dielectric properties of (Ca 0.61 La 0.26 ) TiO 3 ceramics (2017)

    Description: The influence of La 2 O 3 -B 2 O 3 -ZnO (LBZ) additions on the sintering behavior, microstructure, phase composition, and the microwave dielectric properties of (Ca 0.61 La 0.26 ) TiO 3 (CLT) ceramics have been investigated. The results indicate that the LBZ additions could efficiently lower the sintering temperature of the CLT ceramics from 1400°C to 950°C, and excellent microwave properties remain. Small amount of LBZ glass promotes the densification of the CLT ceramics and enhances the microwave dielectric properties. However, excess amount of LBZ glass deteriorates the dielectric properties because of the increasing glass phase. The CLT ceramic with 3 wt. % LBZ additions, sintered at 950°C, exhibit excellent properties: ε r = 103.12, Q× f = 8826 GHz(f=3.312 GHz) and τ ƒ =299.52 ppm/°C.

    Transverse vibration analysis of stiffened plates with elastic support (2017)

    Description: The transverse vibration of stiffened plates with elastic support boundary conditions is studied in this paper. First, strain energy and kinetic equations of the deck, girders and ribs are respectively established. Second, governing equations for the structure are obtained according to the theorem of conservation of energy and solved using Ritz method. According to the relationship between the motherboard and the main girder deformation coordination, the displacement function of the deck can be got based on the displacement function of the main girder. At last, finite element model is built to check the accuracy of theoretical analysis. It can found that the theoretical solution and the finite element solution have the same variation trend, and the error between the two methods is small. Theoretical analysis method is reliable, and it has certain significance for further research and engineering design.
