    Description: In order to accurately obtain the characteristic parameters of the rock mass structural plane of the tunnel and provide effective basis for numerical calculation, based on tunnel of Guiguang railway, this paper measured the structural characteristics of typical tunnel side wall and excavating face by using Sirovision non-contact measurement technology of 3d photogrammetry and accomplished digital geological logging, information statistics of structural plane attitude, rock stability analysis. By using the discrete element software UDEC, the whole process of tunnel excavation, primary support and secondary lining are simulated. The study show that the surrounding rock deformation, internal force of primary support, axial force of anchor bolt will improve with the increase of fragmentation degrees of surrounding rock.     Description: Based on connecting aisle of shield tunnel projects in Shenzhen Metro Line 5, in accordance with the complex space structure formed by shield tunnel and connecting aisle, the study chose a three-dimensional numerical model linked by structure and surrounding rock for the calculation and analysis of the stress effect. It showed that due to the connecting aisle construction, the symmetrical deformation of shield tunnel was transformed into unsymmetrical deformation and the crossing segment produced a phenomenon of stress concentration, which caused the production of the upper and lower section of the overall tension of adverse stress form in side opening segment and contact channel structure side themselves. The tension zone of the whole structure was to connect through the lower half of the channel and the surrounding part of segment, so highly attention should be paid to the force structure and waterproof both in design and construction period.

    Description: The research of urban flood risk assessment and management are of great academic and practical importance, which has become a widespread concern throughout the world. It’s significant to understand the spatial-temporal distribution of the flood risk before making the risk response measures. In this study, the urban region of Jingdezhen City is selected as the study area. The assessment indicators are selected from four aspects: disaster-causing factors, disaster-pregnant environment, disaster-bearing body and the prevention and mitigation ability, by consideration of the formation process of urban flood risk.     Description: In order to understand the potential for land reclamation in Huadian City, this research constructs an evaluation model for land reclamation potential based on the double restraints of ecological security and social economy to measure comprehensive potential for land reclamation that conforms to the level of regional development and ecologic protection objective. The research shows: (1) Under constraint conditions, the potential for land reclamation in the towns of Huadian City has been reduced in different degrees, with the change of potential in urban areas being much smaller than in rural area. Under the restraint of ecological protection, Jiapigou Town, Erdaodianzi Town, Hongshilazi Town and Changshan Town suffer the high restraint.     Description: Ultrasonic signal produced by the gas leak is so week that it is difficult to detect, and easily interfered. So developing the noise-resistant and sound focusing accessory for the ultrasonic leak detector is very important for improving ultrasonic leak detector sensitivity and noise-resistant capability. Based on the theory analysis of the leak ultrasonic signal reverberation and anacampsis, the 5A06 aluminium alloy and nylon were selected as the material of noise-resistant and sound focusing accessory by calculation and compare. Then the circular cone trumpet structure was design as the accessory main structure, and the nylon expansion port, nylon shrinking port and aluminium alloy expansion port structures were manufactured.     Description: Ni-Co-SiC composite coatings were prepared on 45 carbon steel by electrodeposition for high temperature anti-oxidation. The high-temperature oxidation was studied by circulating oxidation test. The prepared composite coating shows continuous Ni-Co matrix and uniformly dispersed SiC particles, and there are no cracks and pores and other flaws in the composite coating. The results also reveal that due to the reactive-phase effect of the embedded SiC particles, the oxidation rate of the substrate decreases largely at high temperature. The Ni-Co-SiC composite coating exhibits better high-temperature oxidation compared with Ni-Co coating and 45 carbon steel.

    Description: The object of this paper is to study the impervious surface extraction method using remote sensing imagery and monitor the spatiotemporal changing patterns of mega cities. Megacity Bombay was selected as the interesting area. Firstly, the pixel-based and object-oriented support vector machine (SVM) classification methods were used to acquire the land use/land cover (LULC) products of Bombay in 2010. Consequently, the overall accuracy (OA) and overall Kappa (OK) of the pixel-based method were 94.97% and 0.96 with a running time of 78 minutes, the OA and OK of the object-oriented method were 93.72% and 0.94 with a running time of only 17s. Additionally, OA and OK of the object-oriented method after a post-classification were improved up to 95.8% and 0.94. Then, the dynamic impervious surfaces of Bombay in the period 1973-2015 were extracted and the urbanization pattern of Bombay was analysed.     Description: Based on single-polarized TerraSAR-X, the approach generates homogeneous segments on an arbitrary number of scale levels by applying a region-growing algorithm which takes the intensity of backscatter and shape-related properties into account. The object-oriented procedure consists of three main steps: firstly, the analysis of the local speckle behavior in the SAR intensity data, leading to the generation of a texture image; secondly, a segmentation based on the intensity image; thirdly, the classification of each segment using the derived texture file and intensity information in order to identify and extract build-up areas.     Description: There are lots of challenges for deriving urban land cover types for high resolution optical imagery because of spectral similarity of different objects, mixed pixels, shadows of buildings and large tree crowns. In order to reduce these uncertainties, recently, it’s a trend of the classification of urban land cover from multi-source sensors in the field of urban remote sensing. In this study, a hierarchical support vector machine (SVM) classification method was applied to the urban land cover mapping, using the WorldView-2 imagery and airborne Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data. The results showed that: (1) The overall accuracy (OA) and overall kappa (OK) were 72.92% and 0.66 for WorldView-2 imagery alone; while the OA and OK were improved up to 89.44% and 0.87 for the synergistic use of the two types of data source.     Description: The failure of rock joints is one of the potential causes for the local and general rock instability, which may trigger devastating geohazards such as landslide. In this paper, the Distinct Element Method (DEM) featured by a novel bond contact model was utilized to simulate shear behaviour of centre/non-coplanar rock joints. The DEM results show that the complete shear behaviour of jointed rock includes four stages: elastic shearing phase, crack propagation, the failure of rock bridges and the through-going discontinuity. The peak shear strength of centre joint increases as the joint connectivity rate decreases. For intermittent noncoplanar rock joints, as the inclination of the rock joints increases, its shear capacity decreases when the inclination angle is negative while increase when positive. Comparison with the experimental results proves the capability of this DEM model in capturing the mechanical properties of the jointed rocks.
