Description: The geographic information system (GIS) should be more open and flexible, according to the development direction of distribution GIS for distribution network. And we must follow the electric power standard such as the CIM when we research the distributed GIS. In this paper, we will promote the integration of distributed distribution network GIS for the effective management and intelligent running of electric power enterprises. However, there are still some key technologies to resolve for distribution network GIS systematic development.

Description: In order to study the embankment stability in permafrost regions, the vertical deepening and horizontal extension of the thaw bulb under the embankment in permafrost regions have been calculated and analyzed based on the double strength reduction finite element method. The vertical depth of the thaw bulb has less impact on the location of longitudinal cracks, and greater impact on the size of cracks on the embankment surface. Moreover, the deeper the vertical depth of the thaw bulb is, the larger the size of cracks becomes. The horizontal extension of the thaw bulb not only impacts on the location of longitudinal cracks on the embankment surface, but also impacts on the size of cracks. There is a critical length for the horizontal extension of the thaw bulb, where the probability of longitudinal cracks is the greatest. When the length is smaller than the critical length, the probability of longitudinal cracks increases with the length increasing; when the length is greater than ...

Description: A combination of the finite element simulation and experimental measurement is proposed to study the influence of laser power and scanning velocity on the molten pool size in the selective laser melting (SLM) of GH3536 alloy. The results show that line energy density and molten pool size exhibit linear growth relationship within the scope of the study parameters. In addition, several GH3536 alloy samples are fabricated by SLM technology with different parameters. All SLM samples are used for metallographic experiment to measure the molten pool size. The result shows that experimental measurements are in good agreement with the simulation predictions.

Description: Maximum energy utilization and high-power density are critical to solar powered aircraft energy system. SiC devices have the advantages of high frequency and high temperature and it is very promising in the aspect of the development of high temperature and high-power density converter. This paper designed a 1.2 kW SiC based power controller using interleaved two-switch buck-boost converter, analyzed the working process of the converter, put forward small signal model and discussed three mode control strategy, and achieved smooth switching among all modes and maximum utilization of power energy. Experimental results demonstrate that the converter module has the power density of 2.4 kW/kg.

Description: Thermal cracking of waxes at mild conditions (430-500°C) has been reconsidered as a possible refining technology for the production of fuels and chemicals. In this study, the more moderate thermal cracking was investigated to process Uinta Basin soft waxes to achieve the required pour point so that they can be pumped to the refineries. The best thermal cracking conditions were set 420°C and 20 minutes. The viscosity and density of the final liquid product were respectively achieved as 2.63 mP•s and 0.784 g/cm 3 at 40°C. The result of FT-IR analysis of the liquid product indicated that the unsaturated hydrocarbons were produced after thermal cracking, which was corroborated by the 13 C NMR spectrum. The GC analysis of the final gas product indicated that the hydrogen was produced; the dehydrogenation reaction was also proved by the elemental analysis and HHV results. The pour point of the final liquid product met the requirement.

Description: As known that the surface of unknown object was difficult to measure or recognize precisely, hence the 3D laser scanning technology was introduced and used properly in surface reconstruction. Usually, the surface scanning speed was slower and the scanning quality would be better, while the speed was faster and the quality would be worse. In this case, the paper presented a new two-stage scanning method in order to pursuit the quality of surface scanning in a faster speed. The first stage was rough scanning to get general point cloud data of object’s surface, and then the second stage was specific scanning to repair missing regions which were determined by chord length discrete method. Meanwhile, a system containing a robotic manipulator and a handy scanner was also developed to implement the two-stage scanning method, and relevant paths were planned according to minimum enclosing ball and regional coverage theories.

Description: To improve the starting performance of the straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine (SB-VAWT) at low wind speed, and the output characteristics at high wind speed, a flexible, scalable auxiliary vane mechanism was designed and installed into the rotor of SB-VAWT in this study. This new vertical axis wind turbine is a kind of lift-to-drag combination wind turbine. The flexible blade expanded, and the driving force of the wind turbines comes mainly from drag at low rotational speed. On the other hand, the flexible blade is retracted at higher speed, and the driving force is primarily from a lift. To research the effects of the flexible, scalable auxiliary module on the performance of SB-VAWT and to find its best parameters, the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) numerical calculation was carried out. The calculation result shows that the flexible, scalable blades can automatic expand and retract with the rotational speed. The moment coefficient at low tip speed ratio increased s...

Description: Texture evolution during high temperature annealing process in high permeability grain oriented(Hi-B)silicon steel, produced by Thin Slab Casting and Rolling(TSCR) process, was investigated using macro-/microtexture analysis. Goss texture appears in ODF at 800°C, the intensity of Goss texture is very weak until 950°C;Goss grains grow abnormally during 980°C∼1000°C, grain size reached centimeter level at 1000°C; instead of Primary Grains, Goss grains were obtained fully at 1020°C, Secondary recrystallization completed at 1040°C; The deviation angle of Goss grain orientation decreases gradually with increasing temperature, and it reached the minimum at 1040°C.
