Description: By taking into consideration the two categories of military projectile threats to aircraft structures, an optimal layer configuration of ceramic faced composite armor was designed in this paper. Using numerical simulations and the same layer arrangement of ceramic, UHMWPE, and carbon fiber laminates, a parametric finite element model using LS-DYNA code was built. Several thickness combinations were analyzed in order to determine the final lightest configuration that is capable of supporting a high-speed impact load and HEI blast wave load, which implements a high anti-penetration design for aircraft armor. This configuration can be used to improve the anti-impact ability of aircraft structures as well as achieve a structure/function integration design that considers a lighter weight.

Description: In this paper, the mechanism of the wear of floating sleeve was analyzed firstly and according to three different pressure assumptions. The force and moment of the inner part of the floating sleeve were deduced respectively and are compared with the analog value. As a result, the force and moment of the inner part of the floating sleeve based on assumption which has minimal error can be a reference value. Then the expression of outboard force and moment were deduced. Based on the Gamultiobi() Function, the resultant and resultant moment of the eccentric 8-shaped floating sleeve were taken as objective functions. And the outer diameter, inner diameter, angle and elastic strength of the seal ring on the eccentric 8-shaped floating sleeve were taken as independent variables. With the restrained conditions of the width of seal ring, the values of the independent variables were obtained when the values of objective functions were minimum. At last, numerical simulation were carried ou...

Description: A photovoltaic generation system is affected by many factors. The traditional method of forecasting photovoltaic power generation is more complicated. A double-level neural network is designed with consideration of these factors: the first level network calculates a real solar radiation with input of theory radiation and weather coefficient; the second level network calculates the final result generation power with input of real solar radiation which comes from the first network and the highest temperature which comes from weather forecast. The final power results indicate this method has good forecast capacity, calculate results are very close to measure value and errors are less than single level network.

Description: This investigation examined the hydrogeochemical characteristics of different sulfide-containing gangue samples from the Hancheng mining area in Shaanxi, China. The changes in the hydrogeochemical properties during the leaching experiments on gangue samples containing different levels of sulfur (LSG-Low sulfur gangue, MSG-Moderate sulfur gangue and HSG-High sulfur gangue) were investigated by analyzing the major physical and chemical constituents (pH, EC, TDS, Ca 2+ , Mg 2+ , Na + , K + , Cl - , SO 4 2- , HCO 3 - , F - , and Fe). The results indicated that the release of SO 4 2- and H + from the dissolution of sulfide minerals resulted in low Ca 2+ and HCO 3 - concentrations at pH levels below 4.7 for the HSG leachate. Also for the HSG samples, the molar ratio of SO 4 2- /Fe exceeded twice that which was e...

Description: A small unipolar aerosols charger system is designed by using corona discharge technology. The performance is evaluated and calibrated in this paper. This system has two main components, one is the corona discharge which adopt tip - arc structure, and the another is high voltage constant current control circuit based on the weak current feedback adjustable as the corona current control part, which ensure that ion concentration remain stable in the process of discharge. The experimental results show that negative corona discharge is better than the positive corona discharge in the same discharge corona current. The intrinsic charging efficiency get better with corona current increases, which can as high as 99% when the negative discharge corona current is 3 µA. However the extrinsic charging efficiency change with corona current change, it got the best performance in the corona current 1.5µA at different particle size in this paper. This small and simple design of the unipolar ch...

Description: Wave function expansion method is developed to study ground motion of two triangular hills and a semi-cylindrical canyon near embedded cavity by incident SH-waves. Firstly the analytical model is divided into 3 parts and the displacement fields in the three regions are constructed. Based on the “conjunction” condition at shared boundary, three districts are then conjoined. Combined with the free-stress condition of semi-cylindrical canyon, a series of infinite algebraic equations is obtained. Lastly, some numerical examples are provided to discuss mechanics law of ground motion impacted by different parameters.

Description: The sorption and desorption of two forms of dissolved organic matter (DOM) extracted from agricultural wastes were studied by batch experiments. The adsorption of the two DOMs on the soil were well fitted to the Linear and Freundlich isotherms. DOM extracted from cow manure (MDOM) shows higher affinity to the soil than that extracted from wheat straw (SDOM). Significant desorption hysteresis was observed for both DOMs. Due to the desorption of some aromatic substances with larger molecular weight from the soil, the average molecular weight and aromaticity of the DOMs increased at sorption equilibrium compared with those before sorption.

Description: Tolerance analysis refers to the process of establishing mapping relations between tolerance features and the target feature along the dimension chain. Traditional models for tolerance analysis are all based on rigid body kinematics, and they adopt the Homogeneous Transformation Matrix to describe feature variation and accumulation. However, those models can hardly reveal the nature of feature variations. This paper proposes a new tolerance analysis method based on the screw and the Lie Algebra of Lie Group, which describes feature variation as the screw motion, and completely maps the twist, an element of the Lie Algebra, to the Lie Group that represents the feature configuration space. Thus, the analysis can be conducted in a more succinct and direct way. In the end, the method is applied in an example and proven to be robust and effective.

Description: Excessive Fe content in Al alloys caused the serious decline of mechanical properties, such as the ductility and impact toughness. Carried out the experiments of eliminating the destructive effects of excessive Fe content by flux-adding technology, which including removing a part of Fe content from Al scrap melt and modifying the morphology of Fe rich precipitates. The experimental results showed that, the ratio of removing Fe element was above 20%, and the morphology of Fe rich precipitates changed from Lamellar to bulk or lath precipitations under the process parameters: the fluxing-agents composed of borax, and MnCl 2 (mixed by mass ratio of 1:1), and the adding amount of fluxing-agents was about 1.5%; thrown the fluxing-agents into the Al scrap melt by powder injection process and kept for 30 min.

Description: Offshore wind farms promise to become an important source of energy in the near future. The high-rise pile cap foundation is one of the typical foundation types for offshore wind turbine. This paper introduces the structural characteristics and construction technology of high-rise pile cap foundation, aiming at the characteristics of the sea area of Taiwan Strait and combining with engineering examples. The construction technology of high-rise pile cap foundation is expounded emphatically from the manufacture and transportation of steel pipe piles, pile foundation construction and bearing platform construction. Compared with the traditional construction technology, the construction technologies used in this project are safer and more reliable. The construction period of piles cap foundation is shortened by 10 ∼ 48 days. The construction technology provides reference for offshore wind power foundation construction.
