Description: It is assured that alfalfa ( Medicago sativa L.) was introduced in Han dynasty. There are cognitive differences on whether Zhang Qian introduced alfalfa. Based on the previous studies, research inductive method was used. The relationship between Zhang Qian and alfalfa introduction was analyzed from the motivation, experience and influence of Zhang Qian to the Western Regions and the image generation of Zhang Qian brought back alfalfa’s seeds. Till to now, there are four opinions about Zhang Qian introducing Alfalfa seeds, including : (1) Zhang Qian introduced alfalfa seeds;(2) Zhang Qian did not introduce alfalfa seeds;(3) the information of Zhang Qian transferring alfalfa;(4)for commemoration Zhang Qian to the Western Regions. Although there are not direct historical materials to support Zhang Qian brought alfalfa seed to Han dynasty, it believes and confirms that the introducing of alfalfa is inextricably interwoven with Zhang Qian’s western travel. Zhangqian brought rel...

Description: The objective of this paper is to investigate the hydroelastic response of cavitating flows around a flexible hydrofoil. The numerical simulations are performed by solving the incompressible and unsteady Reynolds Average Navier-Stokes (URANS) equations via the commercial CFD software ANSYS CFX. The k-ω SST turbulence model with the turbulence viscosity correction and the Kubota cavitation model are introduced to the present simulations. The results showed that the cavitation has significantly affected the foil deformation and the evolution of the transient cavity shape and the corresponding hydrodynamic response with time can be divided into three stages: during the development of the attached cavity, the cavity formed on the suction side of the flexible hydrofoil is much larger with a steeper slope of the cavity area, which is caused by the increase of the effective angle of attack due to the twist deformation. During the vortex-cavitation interaction process, the hydrodynamic ...

Description: China's coastal zone plays an important role in ecological services production and social-economic development; however, extensive and intensive land resource utilization and land use change have lead to high ecological risk in this area during last decade. Regional ecological risk assessment can provide fundamental knowledge and scientific basis for better understanding of the relationship between regional landscape ecosystem and human activities or climate changes, facilitating the optimization strategy of land use structure and improving the ecological risk prevention capability. In this paper, the Yellow River Delta High-Efficiency Ecological Economic Zone is selected as the study site, which is undergoing a new round of coastal zone exploitation and has endured substantial land use change in the past decade. Land use maps of 2000, 2005 and 2010 were generated based on Landsat images by visual interpretation method, and the ecological risk index was then calculated. The inde...

Description: Shear banding as a ubiquitous phenomenon is mostly observed in planar slip metals under complex plastic deformation conditions, especially in cyclic deformation. The deformation substructures and local damages during fatigue vary from grain to grain, which depends greatly on the crystallographic orientation. Despite previous extensive studies, the orientation-dependent deformation substructure is still elusive due to the complexity of damage evolution and the limitation of spatial resolution in both reciprocal and real sample spaces by conventional characterization methods. In this study, we conducted synchrotron-based X-ray micro-diffraction (μXRD) experiments to explore the dependence of localized elastic strains on grain orientation. It is demonstrated that the typical intersection of slip shear bands (SSBs) with Lomer-Cottrell locks (LCLs) are the potential damage locations, which are most likely to form in the near [001]//LD grains. The advanced μXRD with ability of spatial...

Description: To obtain the intuitive data of magic field changes with nonwoven metal shielding material, the Al / PET / Rayon needle punched webs was processed with varied parameters, which were position of Al film, mass proportion of Al, needle punched density, and needle punched depth. Magnetic flux density values of Al / PET / Rayon needle punched webs were measured to calculate their magnetic flux density attenuation (MFDA) values under the exposure to mobile phone field. It was found that position of Al film, Al proportion, and needle punched density have a great effect on magnetic flux density attenuation. When Al proportion in needle punched web increases from 10% to 18%, MFDA values increase accordingly, and tend to converge around Al mass ratio 18%. Besides, the promotion range of MFDA values is particularly obvious in the case of needle punched density 50 g m −2 . When needle punched density increases from 50 g m −2 to 150 g m −2 , MFDA values decrease o...

Description: With the access of distributed generations (DGs), the safe operation of distribution network has attracted much more attention. How to find out the weak nodes in distribution network is urgent to be solved. In this paper, based on complex network theory and risk theory, the improved node degree, node betweenness and node voltage over-limit risk index are proposed. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method isused togive index weights of node degree, node betweenness and node voltage over-limit risk. And the comprehensive index of the vulnerability of distribution network nodes is obtained by weighting. Finally, the feasibility of the index is verified on the IEEE33 nodes system. And accessing DGs to simulation, the influence of DGs on the vulnerability of distribution network is qualitatively analyzed.

Description: Traditional resampling methods in particle filter suffer from the disadvantage of the low filtering accuracy, the severe fluctuation of effective sample size (ESS) and the great influence of parameter setting. A particle filter algorithm based on chopthin resampling is proposed in this paper. Traditional resampling methods produce a set of equally weighted particles and only occur when ESS below a threshold. In contrast to this, the proposed algorithm enforces an upper bound on the ratio between the weights and can be implemented in every step. Simulation shows that the new method outperforms traditional resampling methods in filtering accuracy, ESS stability and computational efficiency, especially when sample size or observation noise is small.

Description: Open cell aluminium foam was used in parallel-flow condenser in air conditioner, and two condensers with different pore density were fabricated. The experimental study was conducted on the heat transfer performance and temperature distribution. The experimental results show that both of the heat transfer load and air pressure drop increase with the increase of pore density, air velocity is 2.5m/s, the heat transfer capacities of the condenser with 10PPI and 8PPI are 4.786kw and 3.344kW respectively. Along the flow direction of refrigerant, the outlet temperatures of refrigerant drop with the rise of air velocity when the inlet temperature is constant. The outlet temperature of the refrigerant decreases with the increase of pore density.

Description: Novel amino/thiol organic groups modified SBA-15 materials were successfully prepared by a simple co-condensation approach. The synthesize mesoporous materials were characterized by FT-IR, SAXRD, N 2 adsorption and elemental analysis (EA). The absorption behavior of Cr (VI) in the samples has been investigated. The experiments revealed that the adsorption amount of Cr (VI) was decided by thiol groups, but the adsorption equilibrium time was mainly effected by amino groups. The 15% NH 2 +20%SH sample had the best adsorption performance. Its maximum adsorption capacity can be up to 49.29 mg/g at the optimum conditions. The research of adsorption mechanism including adsorption kinetics and adsorption thermodynamics was also presented.

Description: The finite element model of concrete-filled steel tubular member was established by the numerical analysis software considering material nonlinearity to analyze concrete creep effect on the dynamic responses of the member under axial compression and lateral impact. In the model, the constitutive model of core concrete is the plastic damage model, that of steel is the Von Mises yield criterion and kinematic hardening model, and the creep effect at different ages is equivalent to the change of concrete elastic modulus. Then the dynamic responses of concrete-filled steel tubular member considering creep effects was simulated, and the effects of creep on contact time, impact load, deflection, stress and strain were discussed. The fruits provide a scientific basis for the design of the impact resistance of concrete filled steel tubular members.
