    Description: This paper reports the preparation of coral-shaped topological morphology nascent polyethylene (PE) particles promoted by the novel heterogeneous non-metallocene catalyst ( m -CH 3 PhO)TiCl 3 /carbon nanotubes (CNTs), with AlEt 3 used as a cocatalyst. Scanning electron microscope (SEM), high resolution transmission electron microscope (HR-TEM) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) emission spectroscopy were used to determine the morphology of the catalyst particles and the content of ( m -CH 3 PhO)TiCl 3 . The carbon nanotube surface was treated with Grignard Reagent prior to reacting with ( m -CH 3 PhO)TiCl 3 . The catalyst system could effectively catalyze ethylene polymerization and ethylene with 1- hexene copolymerization, the catalytic activity could reach up to 5.8 kg/((gTi)h).     Description: The Equivalent Heat Transfer Coefficient Method (EHTCM) is extended to the simulation of transient heat transfer problems for Large-scale concrete aqueducts in the construction process. The present EHTCM consists of the following ingredients: (1) a novel cell death and birth technique is proposed to deal with the existence or nonexistence of the concrete insulation layers, and hence the construction process of aqueducts can be easily simulated; (2) a simplified formula for specific heat transfer is implemented to improve the efficiency of transient computations. Several typical models and examples are selected to verify the performance of this method. On the basis of the weakened weak formulation, the EHTCM is spatially stable and convergent to the exact solution. The EHTCM can achieve the same results in accuracy and convergence rate, in comparison with the actual model method.

    Description: The flood disaster has a higher frequency and more influences under the impacts of global climate change and urbanization for the past several decades. The primary objective of this study is to provide more comprehensively the change characteristics in observed precipitation extremes for the period of 1969-2016 in the Weihe River Basin (WRB) of China. Fourteen extreme precipitation indices (EPIs) were defined to describe the precipitation extremes. Daily observed precipitation from 35 surface meteorological stations in the WRB was used to calculate EPIs. The RClimRex software was used to calculate 14 EPIs, and the trends were analyzed using the Mann-Kendall non-parametric method. The spatial distribution of the typical EPIs was also presented. The results showed that: 1) Generally, the spatial and temporal variations of precipitation extremes varied for different EPIs and different regions.     Description: A solar-heated anaerobic reactor system was applied to decompose livestock wastewater, in which cattle manure and chopped straw were mixed (COD Cr 15,000∼25,000 mg·l -1 ), the commercial microorganisms were added to ambient acidification (about 32°C) and the acclimated sludge was inoculated. Then, the experiments were carried out on wastewater anaerobic degradation and biogas production at 40∼42°C, as fed every 10 days till stable running. The results showed that NH 3 -N and PO 4 3- of the biogas slurry were 441 mg·l - 1 and 65.0 mg·l -1 on the 35 th day, respectively. The concentration of K was up to 350 mg·l -1 in the biogas slurry, rather higher than that of Mg and Fe, which indicated that the available K could contribute more in the agricultural irrigation.     Description: To investigate effects of various power process parameters on deposition efficiency, Al 2 O 3 -40% wt. TiO 2 is selected as raw material to be coated on Q235 steel substrate by air plasma spraying. Different variables of spraying current and voltage are designed, whose spraying power is from 12.8 KW to 16.8 KW and increment step is 0.8 KW. Deposition thickness is proposed as a simple method to characterize the deposition efficiency of coatings. Analysis of variance is used to observe the difference between two adjacent groups. It is shown that deposition efficiency increases with the increase of spraying current; by and large, it firstly rises and then decreases with the increment of spraying voltage. However, the effects of increasing the latter are much stronger on deposition efficiency.

    Description: There is limited research of commercial buildings’ energy use data conducted based on practical analysis in China nowadays. Some energy consumption quota tools like Energy Star in U.S or VDI 3807 in Germany have limitation in China's building sector. This study introduces an innovative methodology of applying energy use quota model and empirical management to commercial buildings, which was in accordance of more than one hundred opened shopping centers of a real estate group in China. On the basis of statistical benchmarking, a new concept of “Modified coefficient”, which considers weather, occupancy, business layout, operation schedule and HVAC efficiency, is originally introduced in this paper.     Description: To improve the mineral identification accuracy of the rapid quantificational identification model, the noise was filtered in fragment based on the wavelength of altered mineral absorption peak and the regional spectral library that fitted for the study area was established. The filtered spectra were analyzed by the method with regional spectral library. Compared with the originally mineral identification result, the average efficiency rate was improved by 5.1%; the average accuracy rate was improved by 17.7%. The results were optimized by the method based on the position of the altered mineral absorption peak. The average efficiency rate would be improved in the future to identify more accurate minerals.

    Description: Soil potassium content in arid and semi-arid region can reflect the conditions of the paleoclimate and it can be inverted by soil spectra. The relationship between soil spectra and soil potassium content was discussed in this research. Based on four reflectance transformations, single-variance analysis and multi-variances inversion model were built to invert potassium content. The results of single-wavelength inversions were very significant except for the reflectance model.     Description: Electric actuator is a kind of intelligent material for artificial muscles, which has the advantages of low driving voltage, large strain, good biocompatibility, good flexibility, low price, wide application prospect and high academic value. In this work, the influence of different DC voltage and different output position on the output force performance of the electric actuator was studied. The experimental results showed that the performance of the electric actuator was better when the DC voltage was 5V. At this time, the output force was 1.31mN, the output force density was 10mN/g, the response speed was 0.032mN/s, and the strain was 1.29%. When the output position was 20mm, the output force and the response speed of the electric actuator were reached the maximum, which were 3.3mN and 0.063mN/s, respectively, and the corresponding output force density was 25.19mN/g.
