Description: The article deals with the controversial topic of the limits in which the immanent "values" in the legal system and especially in the Italian Constitution can affect the operations of interpretation of the norms of positive law. The thesis is that it is not allowed to use a hierarchy of values dictated by the ideological heritage of the interpreter, but only to draw inspiration from the graduation and mediation of interests emerging from the positive legal order, albeit by resorting to the instrument of interpretation in accordance with the Italian Constitution and the European union law.

Description: This paper focuses on the anabasis and katabasis narratives inspired by Dante in the works of the most representative Polish romantics: Adam Mickiewicz (1798-1855), Juliusz Słowacki (1809-1849), Zygmunt Krasiński (1812-1859) and Cyprian Kamil Norwid (1821-1883). It was the Divina Commedia which exercised the greatest influence on the poets, especially Inferno, which became a forerunner of the Polish reality itself. But whereas Dante’s Inferno is identified with the underworld, the Polish Romantics’ locus horridus coincides with the actual world. If the Dantesque journey is a katabasis to the underworld, the descent portrayed by Polish poets is an anabasis towards a volcano crater covered with lava and ice. Moreover, according to the martyrological view, the Polish reality in those days was not only a place of suffering and tribulation, but also of expiation, which was a preparation for the arrival of paradise on Earth.

Description: Massimo Quaini wrote about ninety titles strictly connected to cartography in his long academic career and his large scientific production. Considering this quantity of works, the articles published by Quaini about geographic engineers’ activity represent a seamless thread. In this contribution I examine such articles focusing on the heuristic motivations that have pushed him to put these actors at the centre of his historical-cartographic reflection.

Description: Composed between 1448 and 1449, the Vita del beato Giovanni Colombini by Feo Belcari was printed for the first time in 1477 and was destined to growing publishing success over the following centuries both as an independent text and in miscellany dedicated to the blessed. It will be the third edition of the Accademia della Crusca Vocabolario, published in 1691, to increase its affirmation by admitting the entire poetic and prose work of Belcari among the privileged references for the Tuscan vernacular and the Italian language. A recognition that will lead to a Veronese edition of the work in 1817, edited by authoritative scholars of Italian humanistic literature, which will condition many reprints of the work during the first half of the nineteenth century and which will persist even later, when it will be included in series very different, between religious and linguistic / literary interests.
